I was supposed to audition, but was out of town the weekend it happened in LA. Oh well....lol At elast I saved myself the embarrassment of being on TV in front of millions of viewers.

Ooo I can watch it on the *new* tv i got today! woot! oh my, i saw a preview for it on ET on MTV and i felt so bad for this little chinese guy who sang a Ricky Martin song and he had no idea how bad he was. he looked so crushed :( I always feel bad for those people, because they want it so bad. hahaha there was a clip of this guy who got so mad he spilled water all over Simon!! LMAO...erm, sorry for the spoilers :oops:

omg, i know. i like start rooting for this person through out the show and then they usually get voted off like in the 4th round and then i'm like "oh, i hate this show :evil: " and then i like skip an episode, then watch the next one and get hooked again. lol. this time i'm going to try and watch the whole season.

I think my fave guy last night was the guy who's parents came from indo china! he was GOOD!
Also Jasmin! She was so good cute and her personality shined through! Actually when I first saw her on camera she didnt even look like a dwarf to me. But yeah, i hope she makes it!

On one of the local morning shows today they played that william hung dude (she bangs)? with HEY YA! as the background..And they included his talking at the end, it was Hillarious!

I think Camile is the cutest thing ever.... she was kinda nervous you could tell but I want her into the next round :)

Tonight’s group wasn’t that great! More like... terrible!
But I did like Lisa, Camile, and Marissa! My prediction is that they will be the top 3... And that Lisa and Camile will go through to the top 12... But I’m not usually good at predicting! I’m almost positive Camile will go to the next round though! She’s GOOD! I love her! She has an awesome voice and a spunky attitude! Lisa and Marissa are good to… so we’ll see who gets it!

If Camile is the Velasco or whatever, I liked her voice too. I was flipping the channels and caught a few, they were really bad. The other big girl, well Simon thinks, with the gap in her teeth was ok. Not sure about that Joy chick she was ok.
At first I didn't think that that one chick looked like Sarah Jessica but she kinda did.

My 2 fave performances tonight were Amy and LaToya!!
Amy has such an awesome personality (you have to, inorder to pull off pink hair!) and a beautiful voice!
And LaToya is just... WOW! She is amazing!!!! She's definitely going to be one of the top 2 tomorrow, no doubt!

The last chick was really good. The one chick who I think is like 17 her parents were singers or what not overseas, I didn't think she was that good. The one dude, he does look like Clay, poor thing. The big Hawaiian guy sucked too. The chick with the purple hair she is ok, but her hair is ugly.

LaToya has a voice that amazes me everytime.

AI3, hmm, the only people I've really liked since the beginning are Eric Yoder, Elizabeth LaTendre, Amy Adams, and Jon Peter Lewis. As long as they make it, I'm happy.
I wasn't impressed with Leah LaBelle, Matt Rogers, John Stevens, or LaToya London at all.
And I hate how they've wasted so much time on the William Hung thing, it wasn't even funny to me.

ok so i hate jon peter lewis, and leah sucked... and i dont like matt rogers and i think that john stevens is so wrong for the competition, he can sing but i seriously wanted to fall asleep.
soo i love Fantasia still, I really like Jasmine, Camile too, and LaToya was good (a little overdone), and i still think that George is good, definately the best guy! And suprisingly (to me), Diana did well.

Leah's gone! i'm happy, because i can't see her as the american idol. there's just something about her that seems very catty, like she knows that she's good and isn't afraid to boast about it, you know? but if i had to pick, i would have picked mat rogers to go. i just can't stand the guy.
and i've been thinking about john stevens, and g is right, he isn't right for the competition. not because i don't think he's a good singer, becuse i think he's an excellent singer, but because his style's different than everyone else's, you know? and it also helps that he's so cute. i have a thing for red hair :oops:

i'm glad Leah got booted, like Jessica said, she seems catty! She seems a lil full of herself, and she's not that great, her voice is kinda boring and flat.
as for the other contestants:
LaToya- She wasn’t as amazing as she normally was last night and didn’t really stick out, but she still has an awesome voice! I like her!
Matthew- He’s got a good voice, but he’s too much of a ham, and that annoys me!
John Stevens- Ok, I love this guy! Haha. He seems to have a totally sweet and cool personality. I love his style! He’s unique and adds flavor to the competition! He’s also the best dancer by far of the guys
George- Oh my goodness… I love him too! He’s like a big cuddly teddy bear and every time I see him perform I have the urge to hug him! Haha. He has a GREAT voice too! He did amazingly last night!
John Peter Lewis- he’s so adorable! He’s funny, he makes me smile every time he performs. He’s got a great voice and a funky style. He’s kinda dorky… but in a really cute way!
Diana- Wow, she’s been one of my faves from the beginning. She has a powerful voice and a totally sweet personality!
Camille- I normally love Camille, but last night the song wasn’t working for her! She’s still awesome though!
Jasmine- WOW!! Definitely the star of last night!! She killed it! Her voice is incredible!!
Jennifer- She’s got such a powerful and soulful voice, I think she’s great!
Fantasia- This girl has got a unique voice and a funky style! I like her!

As you can see… I judge by personality just as much as talent. I guess that’s cause I’m only fans of people with good personalities. Lol.

I have found something else to watch, thank God. But I do flip on the commercials sometimes. I don't know all their names but I am with Holly on the big country guy, ew, can't stand him. I think a lot of them can't sing, it's really sad. The red head kid, ew too. I always thought that Leah chick couldn't sing. She is the one who's mom was a pop star in some other country right? how rude... I thought Clay sounded pretty good last night, not his BEST but I adore him. And he IS the real American Idol, which is made clear by album sales, and his popularity.
And as for the John Stevens guy, yes he has a good voice for the type of music he sings, but he's so wrong for the competition, and I personally find him boring. but that's just me.
And Jon Peter Lewis.. how can you guys like him.. he's really not that talented. He kind of annoys me.... :?

well, i agree with Gina on John Stevens. he's not right for this kind of competition. but, i do think he's really talented. i think he'll go next week because well, next week is country, and i really doubt he can sing country.lol. but, i do respect how he likes to sing Frank Sanatra (sp?) kind of music, that's kind of dying out now. it's not the type of jazz i like, i like more instrumental jazz rather than having a singer being the feature of the band, but the type he sings is still good music. i think he could get a record deal with a jazz record company. but, i highly doubt he'll win.

and on John Stevens. What's the criteria for being right for the show? It's American Idol... not pop idol, not jazz idol, not rock idol, etc. He's good at what he does and obviously a lot of people agree. Thank God there IS someone who doesnt sound like the rest of them, I like variety!

George was once again very very good as was Diana, La Toya, and whoa Amy rocked last night........
Jasmine is better than she was last night.....she had one of the best performances last week so i wouldn't want to see her go just yet.
JPL is okay......Matt was alright, but he sang better other times....I didn't care for Fantasia last night and usually she's really good.
Camille wasn't too bad either, although better last week i think....
I still can't stand John Stevens....he doesn't belong in this competition.....and i think he should be next to go along with Hudson.......

Okay, so my three favorites are Amy, Jennifer, and George. The three worst in my opinion are Diana, John Peter Lewis, and Jasmine.
Diana - I'm just not crazy about her. Don't get all the hype about her. Overhype in my opinion. There are definately better girls out there. Amy and Jennifer, say. I haven't seen enough of her performances to appreciate her. I always miss hers.
John Peter Lewis - Whoever thought he had a good voice should be given a reality check. He cannot hit the big notes, he's just handsome, and he's got a ton of teenage girls voting for him multiple times on their cell phones. I dunno, I thought Leah Labelle was even better than him. *shudders*
Jasmine - She sang one song well? So? She is not that good, she had back up singers helping her a lot which should not be allowed. She was off-key and is very overrated, but she's got the whole of Hawaii on her back. Personally, I think Camile is the better Hawaiian out of the two. Yes, Camile.
Other people :
John Stevens - He's good, but not for the kind of show he's on. He could not sing the kind of music he will be given if he does get a record deal. He will not win, I guarantee, but he might get far. The fact that he got more votes than La Toya blows me away. Once he is out, he will get a record deal from the kind of music he sings, and he will succeed in that genre, but pop music is not for him. KING OF THE HILL ROCKED!
La Toya London - Very talented. Not my favorite, but I can't see how the hell she was in the bottom three. It should've been the three people I had listed that I didn't like from the Top 10. Or at least last night should've been JPL, Jasmine, and John Stevens (John's performance of My Girl was horrid).
Fantasia Barrino - I like her music taste, but she is very overrated. Her voice kinda bugs me, and I was not crazy about her Signed, Sealed, Delivered rendition. I love that song soo much and her performance was just okay to me.
Jennifer Hudson - She has an amazing voice, but not enough fans. She lives in the shadow of the other two black people : La Toya and Fantasia, who for some reason get more fans than her. Possibly because the judges like those two better than her. Somehow.
Amy Adams - OH MY FREAKING GOD. How was she voted off? That's all for her.
George Huff - Gotta love good old George. He is so awesome! Such energy. Some people said he was gay, but I don't care about that. If he is, it isn't gay like Clay. It isn't annoying. Not that I am a homophobe. I am so for gay marriages. Anywho, plain and simple, George Huff rocks.
Camile Velasco - She has potential written all over her. She gets nervous when she performs, and if she was a bit relaxed, she would be so good! I would like to see what she could do in the studio. She'd be good there.
Here are my order of what was the Top 10, favorite to least favorite :

Fantasia blew me away tonight with "Summertime"! Wow!! she did so incredible i like got chills! definitely the best performance of the season so far because not only did she sing it perfectly... but she acted out the emotion in it!
LaToya's voice was of Whitney Houston quality tonight I think! She killed that song (in a good way!). And I love "Somewhere"!!
John did great tonight! Great song choice!!
And I loved Jasmine as well!!
Everyone else did alright... but those are the 4 that were my fave performances hands down!

It's not that I think he's a bad singer, I just honestly don't think he should be an American Idol, and I couldn't see him selling that many albums honestly. I think Diana should go first, then him... I mean its an accomplishment to make it into the top 10, all the people that like him will continue to support him, but I don't think he could win it all anyway. My personal opinion. Fantasia was REALLY good on Wednesday. I am listening to it right now. She was my 2nd favorite of the night (Jennifer was 1st, of course). La Toya was also good. George doesn't handle slow songs really well.... Diana was BAD. JPL and JS sucked as usual and Jasmine can't sing.

THIS SHOW IS FREEKING RIGGED! AS A MEMBER OF CLUB HUD AND A JENNIFER SUPPORTER IN GENERAL I AM BOYCOTTING THIS SHOW. It was obvious how they set it up that this show is a sham. They don't do groups with 7 people left, and they put the best 3 in the bottom 3 to get better ratingd, to get more attention, and honestly, it will only lose them viewers by getting rid of Jen. She was amazing, and is going to be a great artist. I have to go, bye!

i never liked jen hudson, i've always said she scares me, and to be honest, i'm not too surprised that she got the boot...BUT....my dad said he got through on Hudson's line 200 times...well if someone can get through that easily, than not a lot of people are voting....so thats one thing
i am however surprised at how the whole bottom 3 looked....very very strange.....
if however it was rigged...i think they shoulda handled it better, by atleast having someone who really sucks (and at this point the only one left who really sucks it John Steven) in the bottom three....then have it come down to the really good one and really bad one...and then boot the good one off.....that's how I would produce the show ONLY IF I WANTED RATINGS though.....not have 3 of the best in the bottom three...but anyway....

I was told on the phone before the show started... boy was I delighted :) Don't worry people... John Stevens will be out soon enough. I love him, but I know he won't win... but I'll support him til it happens. My 2nd choice was Jen Hudson. I am really shocked that she is gone. She did an amazing job on the movie night. And I liked her cause she was a cute heavy girl and she had lost so much weight... we need more people who look normal. I can not stand Latoya... she is so full of herself. I loved her face when she saw that she was the bottom 3. :) I think it should be either her or Jasmine with Diana trailing not too far behind.

On "The View" today I had to laugh. I knew they would talk about AI, and well Star said she didn't want to talk bad about anyone but that they show is a popularity contest. So here's what cracked me up. She said, "There is no way that little child with the red hair is better than Jennifer Hudson."
Then Elizabeth was saying that she didn't vote and that people are thinking that those ladies are so good that people don't really feel that they need to vote or what not and well I guess they do.

I was shocked at the bottom 3 too!! I was like the bottom 3 is definitely group B! I was glad JS wasnt in the bottom... but was mad that fantasia and latoya were! I love those two!! i think fantasia is tied for my favorite now! Jennifer is talented, but seemed the most cocky... and thats something i hate, so i havent liked her since the beginning, i wasnt upset she got kicked off at all!
poor george! i think they scared the hell outta him last night... being left on the couch alone and then not knowing which group to go with! he was like shaking! there's something adorable about him! haha

this was the most emotional episode yet! you could tell John was a popular one with the contestants. and it's not hard to see why! He's just got such a sweet personality and the strength to put up with all the shit some assholes would throw at him! He's 16!! give him a break! geeze! He's talented at what he does... and trust me, this will not be the last you see of him!
i just dont see how anyone can be so rude and mean to someone who is one of the nicest guys ever. he's talented too! look how far he made it!

almost like Josh Gracin from last season (who is a million times better than Stevens) but lasted a lot longer than he should have....
i'll give Stevens this....he can sing like Sinatra, and you're right, we'll prolly see his CD out eventually.....but he can only sing one type of music...he doesn't have much range at all.....not like the rest of the contestants on the show.....
he had one good night, because he picked a song in the genre that he only knows how to sing ( i think that was the movie night, not sure)....but he couldn't switch it up when trying to sing Elton John or Gloria Estefan's songs.....
sure....i'll admit, it's a little sad to see someone get the boot from the show, but i'm glad he's out, the other contestants are a lot better....
Like I said, I'd love to see George do good like the first few weeks, but I think it's going to be either La Toya or Diana(if she can keep up the good work...)

Holly, you're right. I shouldn't be so mean, but it's not like I hate him as a person...just that he couldn't sing the stuff that was put there for him. I think that is partly American Idol's fault (WHO can sing all of that crap?), but at the same time we don't want it repetitive to the point that it is dreary. I think age does have something to do with it. I think throughout his career he will get to learn what he needs, and THEN he will be better.
I still think he should have gone home before others. That's not his fault but it still pisses some off.

Perhaps but hey we all have our own opinions Holls, I think she is a very lively and talented person but she just doesnt do it for me.
I really like American Idol, its much better than Australian Idol for some reason.
I guess its because I dont have to vote every week, argh you guys have it so good because we had to pay to vote for our Idol favorites.
Its good that she makes you feel happy though, there was this one Idol fav of mine over here named Cosima who made me happy but she had to pull out because her throat got sore and she became really sick.

my affection for George is waning and building for Diana. She was fantastic tonight, probably the best. LaToya was great as usual. I like Fantasia but I don't think she was that spectacular. Should be interesting from now on though.

I have to disagree on the Diana thing, I honestly didn't think she was all that wonderful tonight, I don't necessarily think she'll go, I kinda think Jaz will go, even though I do like her. I thought La Toya was really good- I actually enjoyed her tonight. Fantasia's still my favorite, simply because she has a unique voice and amazing personality... I thought she did really well tonight, maybe not her best but- still real good.

I LOVED Fantasia's songs, they were so goood!
George was ok, he's staying kind of static though so i haven't really seen him do anything different.
I thought Diana was good performance wise - she always is. As for the vocals, i'd say she was better than Jasmine but no George.
Latoya was really good as well! I think it's going to be a tough competiton between her and (as Simon would say it) Fahnayzseeeuh.

We are at the point of that there are 4 ladies left and the 4 arent the best there can possibly be. George lasted this long, and defiently shouldnt have. Im just saying that the compitition should be good enough that there arent any bad people left. ((you all knwo waht I mean?))

omg I heard the funniest thing last night on Leno...
Wanda Sykes was on and so were Simon, Randy and Paula. Anyhow...
Jay was asking if she watched the show and she said that she was a fan. She said that she didn't understand how at the end of the show the person who gets kicked off is asked to sing. She was all, so now do a song for us so we can all remember why America voted you off, how much you suck and are going home. Something like that. It was so hilarious.

I didnt get to watch the show last night because I was at the Pepsi Smash taping! But my mom taped it for me and I got to watch it tonight before tonight's episode!

I was shocked when LaToya got voted off tonight! 8O
But though I was shocked... I wasn't dissapointed at all! Jasmine did deserve to go the most... but LaToya just seemed cocky to me, and I hate that, so I was kinda hoping she'd go too! I was so scared that it might have been Fantasia going home though and if it was I woulda thrown something at the TV, haha. But luckily they're safe...
Jasmine was lucky this week and she better step it up for the next week if she wants any chance of staying! But who knows, she could do a total turn around and gain respect back... but if not, it better be between Fantasia and Diana at the end!

I don't think La Toya has ever seemed cocky.....thats one of the major reason's I don't like Fantasia....she's the most cocky of 'em all.....
La Toya was the classy one of the whole bunch.........

I read an article when someone asked her if she was going home that night and she said something like "ofcourse not, it's not my time to go" Now it's ok being confident in yourself... but that comment just seemed rude to me, like she thought she was better than the rest of them and she deserved to stay more than them!

I havent read that article, but what she said wasn't all that rude....i'm sure most of the contestants think they are better than the others....they may not express it, but i'm sure they think it.....
i don't think what she said there was rude....she simply said it wasn't her time.....many people can tell when it's there time.....like when Stevens finally got the boot....i'm sure he knew it would be him...he out stayed his welcome way longer than he should have.....
La Toya's stay was cut short, but about two weeks, cause she was definately the front runner to win these last few weeks....
but thats just my opinion, and believe me, i respect yours all the same... :D

I've hated LaToya the most. I'm glad Jasmine got to stay and I thought she was was better than LaToya this time. LaToya did boring songs. She should stick to her showtunes. I was so happy. Diana is taking it.

I managed to see Latoya go last night and what a blubbery mood i was in lol!
I cried when Jasmine cried and then i cried when my favorite person on Big Brother got booted 1st.
I wasnt very upset that Latoya went but I would of rathered Fantasia go.
Now i hope either Jasmine or Diana win, either one I would be happy with :wink:

Jasmine was good, but she's definitely out of her league!
Diana was amazing last night! She has definitely grown in this compitition and I think no matter what happens she'll get a record contract and be big!
Fantasia was fantastic as usual last night! She's just continuously good!! I hope she wins, but like Paula said, she doesnt need the compition anymore, she's already a star!

performed his 1st singles Angels brought me here.
What did you guys think of it?

Yeah I'm rooting for Diana! I loved Fantasia at first but I'm in the middle of watching it now after her first performance & I actually agreed with Simon. Nobody wanted to hear it but it was kind of true! He was like "oh shutup people" haha.

Diana sang the first song (the one Tamyra wrote) extremely well....Simon shouldn't have criticized her on the type of song....she didn't write it or choose it....
Fantasia blew her first song....she ruined a normally pretty good song....

You must have not been listening very well. I totally didn't like her second song. She did well on the first one though.
Fantasia is obviously everyone's favorite on the show. I am not sure that the judges should be so vocal about it.
I saw an interview with Diana and she said she wasn't making excuses but it was a new venue and there were dead spots and all she could hear was the band, she couldn't hear herself and that made it hard.
I think that Fantasia is obviously the better singer. But the show is full of surprises so I guess we'll see.

This is a little random but did you guys notice everybody from AI was there except for Justin Guarini? I saw him hosting VH1's top 20 & he looks freakin weird now & he acted like such a tool hosting it. It was so strange.

I actually ended up watching and I am glad. I didn't care for the top 12's medly, it was horrible cheese!!
I really liked when Kelly, Diana, Fantasia and Ruben all sang together.
I like Diana but felt that Fantasia was the better singer. Like Holly I too never noticed the yeahs. She does have a different voice and everyone has their own opinions but she, like all the judges say is different. She is not as BV says, another wad of dough spewed out into the cookie cutter.
I think the thing I like most about her along with Vanessa is you can see her emotion in her songs.

The thing I like most in artists is when they give out a lot of emotion and they're really feeling what they're singing cause it makes the music seem more real! and therefore you feel it too... atleast that's the way i feel!
for example, it's one of the main reasons I love National Product, I can't emplain how powerful their concerts are because of the emotion that Danny exudes. it's awesome!
You can tell Fantasia has it, Vanessa has it, Adam from Maroon5 has it... but I just dont see it in Diana... she has a powerful voice though.

I really doubt Diana will out sell Fantasia! It was obvious it would happen with Ruben and Clay that the runner up would be more succesfull... cause Clay had something special just as Fantasia does too. Diana is a great singer but there is absolutely nothing unique about her... sure she has a great voice, but we already have a Xtina and a Kelly Clarkson who do the same thing but better.... There is no one like Fantasia out right now... so she'll sell more records.

to each his own :-P i like both diana and fantasia, i would have been happy with either of them winning! i'm curious as to what kind of music diana is going to do, since i don't think she was that strong when she had to sing the gospel/r&b-type music for the finale...i really liked her when they did the big band one, i think those were her strongest performances

I think for once in AI they BOTH will do well. But for some reason I think Diana will SELL more & probably do more popish stuff but Fantasia will BE BETTER if that makes sense.
I personally love them both. I think that Diana is an excellent singer but Fantasia really connects with people.
