a thousand miles. they edited a little in nolita fairytale. it was shorter, and they showed like ten seconds of a thousand miles.

Looved her performance. the violin and drums drowned out the piano a little bit, and she was a bit flat (it's EARLY to be singing) but all in all a great tv spot for her. Reege chatted her up, too, which was great. But I wish they would stop making her play ATM, though unfortunately that's the song most people know her for. You can see the performance on the Regis and Kelly website.

She was great!
The show sucks.
She played Nolita Fairytale, and A thousand Miles but you they cut ATM after provably the first line.
There was a violinist, a guitarist and a drummer. NF was kinda short, she didn't sing one line which I think was, 'always worry, of what I lose' and she skipped to 'take away my record deal'. and It was kinda short, but I guess it was because of shows time restriction.

That's what I thought too! There's definately a difference in her face when she sings Nolita or things from Harmonium than A Thousand Miles. you can tell she's sick to death of playing that song.

I was doing homework before class and I had the TV on and completely forgot Vanessa was performing today and all of a sudden Regis was on my screen talking about her and I was like, "Huh, what, OH CRAP."
It's really awesome to see her with a band again, she looked really pretty, she should definately wear green more often, I really like that color on her.
And I loved it when she was talking about the throw on the piano and she was like, "It's um... a victoian cloth, and I thought it would bring some... hauntedness, to... everything." So cute. Haha.

Thankies! Wow that drummer is good, I like his percussion. Um, the violin is kinda annoying actually.. her voice sounded screechy, but it was morning afterall.
lol, loved the thing about drinking champagne, and doing it more often.
it's nice that she adds a guitarist!, drummer, and violinist.
short appearence thought :( and yeah she looked sad playing ATM, damn that song.
i like that she looks a lot at her bandmembers, the eyecontact and smiles.

Yeah, I agree the violins were a bit annoying. Especially during ATM - V kind of looked at them, (which too me looked like she was a tad pissed off) and then tryed to recover from it. haha. funny.
Short and a bit cut off but that is usually how music on these kinds of shows is done right, less talk and more time to play the song? Either way, good promo. I am sure it will help.

That was the late Ahmet Ertegun, who began Atlantic Records back in the 50's with his brother. He signed everyone from Ray Charles to the Rolling Stones to Kid Rock. True, he didn't sign VC, but he started a buzz.
Without mincing words, an industry god.
Finally got home to see this on my proper TV. Wow. I think her singing has improved; she did a great job with those overlapping parts. Strange to have piano/violin/guitar/drums.....and no bass? A standup might have been nice. I don't think the violin was in tune with the piano. Some weird intonation was going on.
I'm assuming that the show ran a hair long, which is why ATM got cut so short. LIVE! is really a live show(unlike some things they claim in TV), so it has to time out.
On the positive side, VC probably didn't have to play all of ATM for the billionth time.
