What do u think about this band?
I really like Andrea & Co... They are amazing, almost better then Vanessa but just almost :)
-
I love them! The Royal Albert Hall & Unplugged dvd's are in my player almost all the time.
Fav. album: Talk on Corners
Fav. song: Queen of Hollywood
-
I love them!!
-
Go on,
Go on,
Leave me breathless.
-
Go on,
Go on,
Leave me breathless.
that is a good song, but not a good representation of the corrs, compared to the rest of that CD.
-
Can we say...one hit wonder?
-
not really.
-
I think the Corrs are 100% no One-Hit-Wonder ... They have some many Fans in Europe, Asia and Australia.I think more then Vanessa has.
My favorite album : Forgiven Not Forgotten
My favorite song : Heaven Knows
But unfortunately they changed there music style and I really dont like the new one ...
I really hope Nessa won't do it just to sell more CD's
-
In 1998 Talk On Corners was the biggest selling album in the UK. One hit wonders in America maybe, the rest of the world. I don't think so.
Oh and I love them to bits by the way.
Fav Song - Heaven Knows
Fav Album - Forgiven Not Forgotten
Saw them live for my birthday last year, fantastic.
I agree with what Susi said about them changing their style though. Changing your style is all very well, it's natural. But you have to change it for the better, and The Corrs have not done so with In Blue. If it was designed to appeal to America, then it didn't really work but there was some improvement over the other albums. Hopefully, this doesn't mean they will try and go even more mainstream to appeal to American audiences more. Oh well, I'll stop waffling now. New album out soon, woo!
-
I like them too, but never saw them in concert.
I have the UnPlugged CD.
-
are they talented or are they talented?
man, i think they are the most talented family (well, siblings)...they play their own instruments, they write their own songs, they have beautiful voices (although, they mess up live sometimes...), they look phenomenal...
what more could you ask for?
-
That's quite an admiration for them.
A couple of Christmasses ago (2 1/2 years if I'm not mistaken), I received "In Blue" as a gift, because the giver knew I liked that type of music.
I'm here to say, I don't think it's been out of the stereo for more than a combined month in that time.
They are talented, beautiful and talented (yeah, I said it twice on purpose).
I taped their performance and interview on Rosi O'Donnel when they were promoting "In Blue." They're very charming as well.
-
yup i like them, a long with a few other people (http://forum.nessaholics.com/viewtopic.php?t=857).

I love the search function..
Whoever said "Breathless" wasn't a good representation of them was so right. Their other songs are much much better in my opinion, tho Breathless is catchy, don't get me wrong I love the song.
Anywho, i'm really feeling "Lough Erin Shore [Unplugged Version]" it has to be my most favorite song ever, I just listened to the best of cd today and i'm in love with that song. I love how it is just instrumental, it has the ireland flava on there.. I just <3 it!
-
I like when the stars go blue. well it's not like..it's LOVE! I used to watch that music video on VH1 all the time...and when they started to dance I melted!! lol I don't know why...I just loved it.

I did

First of all YAY for the Irish...
Secondly, they must be the most gene perfect family EVER. They're all gorgeous...its so unfair. Especially Caroline (fiddle/violin player)

You mean Sharon, right? Caroline plays drums, bodhran & piano.
-
Oh I remember the Corrs! They had such catchy songs, and I always dreamed of playing violin like Sharon! haha. Wow the memories, but they're were great....whatever happened to them though?!
xxox
-
the last album they made is a big no-no for me. i used to be a big fan of the corrs eversince they started in '95 but the last album simply sucked. it's so not them.

I do like Erin Shore, like al the songs of forgiven not forgotten and i must say that is my favorite for the style of music, they get more popy as they go along after that.
I think i like all the songs on forgiven not forgotten, shame it was stolen with all my other corrs cds and a load of others a couple of years ago :(.
I have it on the computer now, but the original sounds best on a cd player
:(.

OOOOH, now THIS is my band. :D I adore The Corrs, I've got everything and love it. Puts a smile on my face everytime I listen to them! All I need is to see them in concert and I can die happy. I tend to run off a bit cornier than I already am when it comes to them. So don't mind me.
I agree what was being said earlier, "Breathless" was a great, catchy pop tune, but nothing close at all to what the real Corrs fans out there know their TRUE signature sound is.
That family is pure talent. Not to mention annoyingly GORGEOUS.

I can't wait for the new album to come out!! I bet it's gonna be good!
They're really good!
Too bad they never came to Brazil :( cuz I'd love to see them live...
I love watching their DVDs tho...
How big are they in America? cuz they're not really big here in Brazil...
Hm, btw, I love the new song Summer something

They are not that big here. Most have heard one or two of their songs but don't really know who they are. 'long night' sounds really good. 'humdrum' is crazy good. Their whole album is amazing. Pick it up people.
-
They were interviewed on Viva today! I hadn't seen them in ages and it's brought such good memories. I used to love them! I still like them a lot, but I'm not really a huge fan.
I hadn't heard Summer Sunshine yet and it's quite ok. I don't "love" it though :? It's a shame they got too poppy, Talk On Coners was such an awesome album and I think they kind of ruined a bit the magic of their folk-pop sound with celtic roots they'd achieved and that made them so special.
I have In Blue as well, but I don't think it's half as good as their previous albums. Has anybody heard the rest of Borrowed Heaven yet? What is it more like? By the sounds of Summer Sunshine I'm guessing it follows the In Blue line... but you never know.
-
So I got the new The Corrs's album yesterday and it's good.
It's pop yea but still very good! I've been listenin to it a lot...
Summer Sunshine is probably the most poppish song on that album anyway... The other ones are more like The Corrs lol if it makes any sense...
-
I love their new single Summer Sunshine, I cannot get enough of listening to it. It is so awesome

The Corrs is a Celtic folk rock and pop rock group The band consists of the Corr siblings, Andrea Corr (lead vocals, tin whistle); Sharon Corr (backing vocals, violin); Caroline Corr (backing vocals, bodhrán,drums); and Jim Corr (guitar, backing vocals, keyboard).
My favorite song of theirs is Runaway. Any other fans?
-
luv their almost-irish accent
and they're great.. i like them
-
I love Runaway !!!
amazing song.
they have some other great sonsg (: .
-
Wow, that topic is really old! Well, I dont know if I can revive this thread but I love that band, is my favourite band.
They are now in a looong hiatus but two of the sisters, Sharon and Andrea Corr are working in their solo albums.
Sharon's Album is called Is not a dream and Andrea's first is called Ten feet high.
A few weeks ago Andrea said that she's working in a second album, an album of covers with songs that have special meaning to her. Today her web updated with a new song, Nº9 Dream of John Lennon. You can listen to it at http://www.andreacorr.co.uk/
Excuse me again if I cant do this but I want to share their music wherever I go, as I do with Nessa's music.
-
i used to listen to this band when they released in the US a billion years ago. But I never kept up with them after the second album released here. I'm not sure if it was their first and second EVER albums, but the first I had heard of them. I LOVE their voices, so huanting and I play the violin so I always love it when I hear one in popular bands. I didn't keep up with them though, and I should have. After my CDs were stolen, I never replaced theirs...I should!
