NF has finally appeared on the list of artists on the vspot. Now it's our turn to vote as much as possible to promote the song! Just go to the link below and drag and drop NF to whatever spot (preferably the first) you wish, and press submit. Simple as that.

im am not gunna stop voting....ive already voted at least 50 times and i just started a little bit ago...i wanna get at least like 200 in today...but it depends how busy i am....sumone has to watch the countodown tomorrow and tell us if she made it this week.. ;D

well you could always find out yourself... but like yeah, just press rate em again on the left side once you've voted.

I love the VH1 Countdown because it usually has lots of substance to their artists. I voted three times. but I will definetely vote that x400. So happy bout the flame icon. She's gonna be great!

Keep voting ya'll. At least we don't have to keep adding it by typing it in everytime. This is a great video for everyone to see since it has the piano in it being smashed and has a connection from her old identity. People will instantly know who the hell this is from the beginning.

I was sooo pissed. I stayed up until 2 am to watch the freakin countdown and Vanessa didn't even make it. And the one dimensional Elliot Yamin song came on (sorry to elliot's fans), which I think is starting to get overplayed.

I think those icons change periodically based on who is getting a lot of activity AT THAT SPECIFIC TIME, as opposed to overall votes. I could be wrong. But I would stop thinking stupid conspiracy theories, it's a music video.
This was the first week it was even on rotation on vh1. Other people still need to see the video so they can vote. Sorry to say, but it's going to take a lot more than the Nessaholics to get V on the countdown. Our little fan army pales in comparison to Avril's, for example. She just has more fans. I personally don't have time to vote 500 times a day, I actually have a job. We're going to need new or more casual fans of Vanessa's to get active, too, which means they need to see the video in the morning or on the internet first.

I wouldn't freak out, I'm sure Nolita Fairytale will have a snowball effect once it gains more exposure in the mainstream via outlets like TRL and such. It's still very early to worry about the video not making the VH1 coutdown this week. :)

Maybe at the end, they look at what IP addresses the votes are coming from? Maybe multiple votes from 1 IP address are discarded. Hence, us voting millions of times wouldn't help much. I dunno, just a thought.

If you must contribute, at least contribute something intelligent and not something specifically to set people off or make people seem lower when they did nothing wrong.

Yeah, she left the answer open, obviously to possibly find out why later. No one ever said anyone was trying to sabotage Vanessa. If they had, that would be another thing entirely.

Wow I was surprised to find ALL this after my post. I was slightly offended by what Amberbeads said, but I really appreciate the apology. Though Amberbeads you did give charmedguy some unnecessary hostility. He was only trying to neutralize the situation? I guess I was wrong for saying the producers decided to not include Nolita Fairytale in the countdown, it was an impulsive statement, but that was only because I had checked almost everyday where Vanessa's position was on the list. She was indeed "flaming" everyday of the voting week. And charmedguy thanks for sticking up for me you completely got my drift because I of course did not mean to make any quick conclusions or "theories." I simply wanted to find out why Vanessa didn't make the countdown despite all the flaming days. haha.
One of you said it was probably because a small group of fans took perhaps a majority of the votes so that didn't help qualify the song and maybe the video just needs more exposure to "casual fans." I think these answers could all be possibly correct--there's definitely still a question mark lingering over this topic.
Anyway, let's all be friends and try not to make any "smartass" comments. Some people do get over-excited and can make overly observatory statements without thinking it through.

Maybe Top 20's not worthy of Nolita. Look at it this way, songs from Goo Goo Dolls, Fergie, Match Box 20!, Elliot Yamin (can't think of them all), all suck. And all of which somehow made it on the countdown. That's what's really boggling my mind. I only want Nolita to gain more exposure by being on TV.

A song is supposed to be inspirational and nice to listen to. A plot or story line is nice but the lyrics have to flow and connect to eachother in one way or another. She just randomly stuck in the record deal thing in a song about Nolita. I like the song, but personally there are much better songs she could have released as the first single for her comeback album.

I said it before, i'll say it now. No one listens to lyrics first time round, they listen to the tune. And Nolita Fairytale has a great tune. I dont think the mention of Stevie or her record deal will effect sales, it just depends whether people like the tune or not.

I don't meant to stir up controversy at all and I respect everyones thoughts on this forum but I have to agree with Hearingballad's point. I too was constantly voting throughout the days and Nolita ALWAYS had the fire emblem, no matter what day or time I checked. It seems as if all the other videos that had the fire emblem were on the countdown...even some who had the mild emblem were still on!!! I couldn't understand why Nolita was not on there. I'm not trying to think of "theories" of why Nolita was not on the countdown. I am almost POSITIVE we put in MORE than enough votes. My belief is that they felt the video has not been exposed enough to be on the countdown and that they knew it was mostly us nessaholics who were voting. But this is simply my opinion and I respect all others. I guess all we can do is continue voting and hopefully it will be on there soon. I was so sad on Saturday you guys...what a disappointment.

i caught the countdown friday night and it's great that it had such, as VH1 themselves put it, "impressive debut." --which was followed by another so-called "debut" of stronger by kanye west, which is over 4 months old and they're just NOW showing it? am i missing something?

My roommate and I were crawling on our hands and knees to hook up the tv, and once it was done, she said to change it to nickelodeon which was either channel 49 or 50, so I put in 50 and it was vh1 and I hear her say, This is a most impressive debut from vanessa carlton, and I just freaked, dancing around the room lol. This show is not live and they tape the segments on either Thursdays or Fridays so even if you voted 8 million times today it wouldn't matter. Voting Sunday through Wednesday or Thursday is more important.

Yeah, do you mind me asking where you found that out? Just wondering cause it sounds a bit odd for them to do that. They don't allow voting after around midnight or so tonight. I know because I tried last weekend. So I was assuming that the votes counted until they cut the voting off.

You can tell what's a live show and what's not. B said it himself that it airs at 2am Saturdays where he is, so obviously they're not live at 9am. The intro's are taped like "here's Vanessa Carlton at #7 with Nolita Fairytale." Obviously the producers stop counting votes at some point before Saturday, and my bet would be Friday morning sometime. It makes even more sense when the host is in California and it looks like mid afternoon outside when, if it were live, it should be 6am.

I have a sneaking suspicion that the show is kind of in a week delay, where all of the votes that were voted this week end up being shown next week, etc.
My theory for this was the fact:
a) NF didn't make the countdown it's first week on the page, despite people having voted a lot that week. Then it debuts at 12 the next week, which is a high debut for a video.
b) Last week's episode where they were at a Jets tailgate party had to be taped the Sunday before(!) the show aired, because I honestly doubt they would just round up a bunch of Jets fans and have them act like they are BBQ'ing.
... so that is just my guess. Her still being #7 is still better than the video dropping. Just keep up the voting! :)

I mean, is anyone really surprised about it dropping? The label needs to somehow get people interested in Vanessa again, NF didn't really manage to achieve that, so no one can expect NF to stay on the charts with us being the only small group really supporting it.
We can only do so much. :?
We need to see her in other mediums, like a fashion spread in Vogue or something if possible. Things that'll grab people's attention. In order to be successful you can't just be solely focused on either acting, or music. You constantly see entertainers and celebrities delving into other mediums - fashion, fragrances, jewlery, etc.
Edit - I could definately see Vanessa doing some occasional freelance acting, especially in a black comedy for some reason. She has the demeanor that'd be perfect for that from what I can see.

maybe people have finally caught on to the single. I had to do a podcast in my multimedia productions class, and I did it on Vanessa. I started out with the NF opening and then showed pics of her and dialogue talking about her, then it switched to WH video and I played the outro in "Home."
Everybody seemed to like NF (and the cab crashing into the piano, of course :roll: ) and my teacher said it made her want to go out and get the album. Then, sadly, the topic took a turn to ATM and the kids in my class began discussing that. Although, a girl said she liked WH cause it made her happy.
