Oh yeah, I got let in for soundcheck too and she tried to play HAWBTW but she said she didn't practice it enough to feel good about playing it. I am so glad I went.
I am so glad you were able to get in! Did you happen to get video of her practicing HAWBTW during the soundcheck? I love to hear her practice, with mistakes and all, especially that song
And I don't know who Mark is either......

Yay! I'm glad you guys all had a good time. Thanks for gathering footage for all of us. I can't wait to hear another recording of Tall Tales for Spring. I hope she didn't change it that much or at all like she did some other songs. AND I'M SO GLAD TO HEAR THAT SKYE STEELE WAS PERFORMING WITH HER AGAIN!!! 
I am so relieved to read that she's going to be touring this summer. We hadn't heard anything, so I was afraid I would never get to see her live ever. I have to go to a concert if it's in the LA area.

Vanessa Songs / Lyrics / Sheet Music / Do you think that V's albums correspond to certain seasons?

When you guys listen to V's entire albums, do you get a sense that they were written to be listened to during a certain season? For example, I like to listen to Harmonium in the late summer/early fall. Maybe it's because of the lyrics "well summer's all in bloom/summer's ending soon" in White Houses and "just when the days start getting colder" in Afterglow and Half a Week Before the Winter.
Heroes & Thieves is a late winter/early spring album for me. It gives me a triumphant feeling, like we made it through winter, and now we're enjoying spring.
I am divided on Be Not Nobody, though, just because I haven't listened to that one all the way through enough. The brighter songs remind me of spring, but the darker ones remind me of late fall/early winter.
And from what we've heard from Rabbits on the Run, I think it will have a very Harmonium feel to it, but maybe more summery.

Have you guys noticed that Vanessa's singing sounds a bit different recently? In a good way! Like, it sounds gentler, like on the high notes, I don't know, it's like powerful but vulnerable at the same time. To explain it better, like when she performed A Thousand Miles at the Sunset Sessions compared to when she's sang it in the past, it sounds more tranquil or something. What do you guys think?
