I think it would be great to see Vanessa play with Michelle Branch(I know a lot of people like one or the other but I have spoken with Michelle and she is a huge Vanessa supporter)

Really?  That's great, cause last I'd heard Michelle Branch had some sort of beef with Vanessa.  

And I think Vanessa should do more shows with Ingrid Michaelson; she's a budding and now well-known indie artist, which could help Vanessa gain some momentum.

I'm pretty sure even if HOM flops with the general public Vanessa will still have a career in the music industry.

There are SO many artists that keep recording that would love to sell half as many copies as she has sold of "H&T"

Nothing to worry about folks, Vanessa will be around for as long as she
wants to be.

I'm a huge fan of both Emily Haines and Metric, and I enjoy Broken Social Scene, but I'd like to point out that they are indie artists on indie labels.  Thus, their sales barely make a dent in those of many major-label artists.  Vanessa is a major-label artist, so you can't really compare her record sales to some of the artists you mentioned.

I do think Vanessa would do extraordinarly well as an indie artist, though.

Anyway, I'm dying to see the HOM video and hear about any progress made with it. I wish I'd found out about the casting earlier; my brother and his wife (both extremely attractive people) live in LA!

"Ordinary Day" was the first song Vanessa ever wrote.

first song she wrote... in one sitting.  not the first song she wrote, ever.

she, at our concert said it was the second full song she ever wrote... and the first one was so bad she forgot it, but i remember her talking about Twilight as being one of the firsts.. also Superhero

she introduced ordinary day like this at every tour stop in 2004.  She would mention how she is sometimes very ADD and has a hard time finishing a song in a sitting and that Ordinary Day was the first song she ever wrote in one sitting.

Ohhhh I remember those intros.  I remember her talking about playing with play-doh on the tour bus! ahahha

Live Shows / 11/30/2007: City Place Plaza - West Palm Beach, FL (Review)

Fantastic, needless to say.  I met her afterward, and there were some REALLY rude, annoying girls there who met her afterward too.  Vanessa was in a hotel room in some alleyway at City Place where she went before and after the soundcheck and show.  

These girls overheard Mark talking about what room she was staying in, and kept telling the few of us who were waiting for Vanessa to come out what her room number was.  Some random guy came running out of the hotel and was like "Hey, Vanessa Carlton's up there, right?  I wanna see her!"  And so one of the girls, who said she was 17, just blurted out, "She's in room 212!!!"  So rude and stupid of her.

Anyway, my friends and I all met Vanessa, and one of my friends and I reminded her that I was the girl who gave her the shark.  This time, we gave her a collar and matching lead and a Christmas scarf for Victor, "Turn on the Bright Lights" by Interpol, and an alligator head!  hahaha, I was sitting in a potted plant waiting for her to come out, and a snail crawled on to the bag that had the gifts in it.  One of my friends was like "Oh, leave it!  She'll like it!"  So I left it, and she did love it!  lol, she was showing it to Mark and her security guard.  She asked me how to spell my name (Ky).  So I'm like "It's just K-Y, like that vagina...jelly lube stuff". lol I have videos of us meeting her and some pictures that I'll edit into this post, but for now I'll just link you guys to my photobucket page where I'm currently uploading everything.
