Thinking about the 2003 Grammy's :(
« on: March 19, 2004, 12:26:59 pm »
I remember watching as they announced Grammy after Grammy and Norah Jones kept winning (grrr).  I was soooo sad that Vanessa didn't win any because her debut album was so great!  All Norah Jones did was whisper and play some frilly notes on the piano from a song she didn't write.  Anyone feel the same way?

I was very upset that Norah stole Nessa's Grammies. While she may have a nice voice and can play the piano decently, Norah Jones cannot match Vanessa Carlton as far as the power behind her music or the emotions evoked.

I have hated Norah Jones since that night... I remeber watching it and thinking ok, I kinda want Avril to win since Nessa isn't in the one- "and the winner is, Norah Jones!" ok maybe the next one... That went on for a long time!

Good lord, get over it!

Norah is just as talented (my opinion) as Vanessa.  It's sad that Vanessa didn't win an award, but good grief this was over a year ago!

People, it's not Norah's fault she won...It's pointless to hate her for winning...

Just get over it.

lol. i don't hate Norah but like, whenever i hear her song i'm always like "grr, Norah.." but just in kind of a joking sort of way. but i won't lie and say i wasn't upset that Norah won everything she was nominated in.

I just think their should be a limit on how many grammy's/awards someone gets, other people deserve some too, its not fair that one person take home that many.
and Norah is very much a great artist.  :D

that's a really immature thing to say... norah didn't "steal" any grammies... she was chosen to win them. and as far as norah not being able to "match" vanessa, apparently there are some people who think she can, or else she wouldn't've won so many.
on a side note, the "academy" has a horrible taste in music. beyonce walked away with just as many as norah. which means, using the transitive property, that beyonce is better than vanessa. the academy is fucked. don't rely on them to make educated decisions.

idk my friends parents think that just because bruce springsteen made a cd so he could capatalise off september eleventh and theirfore he should win a grammy... NO
then they were like well he worked realy hard
i was like you dont think that vanessa or norah jones worked realy hard to i mean vanessa probaly harder because she madd ALL of her music but norah made SOME of her music i give a lot of credit to the both in my eyes, people just must have liked norah more and i have accepted that she is a great preformer and she realy deservs it

(i tried to make that as readable as possible)
Peace

I was mad, mostly because I'm really not a fan of Norah- and I wanted V to win atleast one; it sucked.  But yeah it was a long time ago... so it's kinda silly.
