I used to play The Legend of Mir, I think it's a similar idea, but I just don't have the time now.

Awww Julinda that was so lovely to read, and nice to know something about Vanessa's past. She does sound like a wonderful person!  :)

Yeah it's often used while discussing the 'bloody weather'

Ok this is random, but is it true that in the US the first book is called the sorcerer's stone instead of the philosopher's stone??  :?  I just wondered...

Who knows, maybe Dumbledore will come back to 'fulfill his destiny'!! Like for example in The Lord of the Rings, with Gandalf or Aslan in the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe! Just a thought, as I am another fan still in denial! JKR has left so much of the magical world of Harry Potter to our own discresion that we do not know if there is any 'deep magic' (to quote The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe) that prevented Dumbledore from dying. Although in the first book when Harry becomes obsessed with that mirror, Dumbledore does remind Harry that people can't come back from the dead.

Hmmm 'tis a puzzling matter! 8O

OK, I take it back.  NEGATIVE reviews suck.  I think it would be cool if the typical review--for ANYthing--would always be done by a fan of the work.  For instance, only a fan of Vanessa Carlton could do a review for her upcoming album!  And that person would express WHY they're a fan...then maybe the people who wouldn't ordinarily give it a chance might see what's special in that person's art.   :D

I see no need for someone who would NEVER be interested in a particular album, movie, concert, etc. to review it!  They just don't GET IT!  You know what I mean?

Here here!!

Lol sorry that's probably a very posh British phrase!

I hope you all have a great day!
You can use this thread to tell the world what presents you got!
But remember the true meaning of christmas also. I've just got back from midnight mass and feel really calm and collected and ready to focus on the message beyond the presents and turkeys; and that is of course Jesus coming into the world so that we ourselves could be saved from sin and death. Whatever you guys believe (I'm sure a lot of you think the 'christmas nativity' is nothing more than a nice story to tell little kids) just keep the day special and spend a moment reflecting on what Christmas really means to you.
I'm sorry if it looks like I'm preaching here!  I just wanted to spread the love as it is CHRISTMAS DAY!! YAY!!

by the way, the reason Jess got named Jess is because here in NZ (dunno about anywhere else overseas) there's a kids programme called Postman Pat, and the theme song goes "postman pat, postman pat, postman pat and his black and white cat" and his cat's name is Jess:)

Apparently, the show originates in the UK.  Unfortunately, we don't have it in the US. :(

Postman Pat is ace!!! As if it's on TV in NZ!! Rock on Pat! (and jess!)
