F#, C#, A# is F# Very nice chords, and the song is sweet too. I was in at the music store and I wanted to try the triton but it was set up with layers, and weird synth sounds so I played the Roland RD-300SX instead. Thanks for all the chords. I'm such a spammer...  :wink:

Here's a thought for you... Does it *matter* if Vanessa is famous? Does it really matter, because at the end of the day who does she have? Her instrument and her self respect. I gather from an early interview that she doesn't care if her music is liked. A songwriter writes music for themself (unless you're writing for other people) to create emotions. Personally, I think if MTV doesn't dig that then they don't need to have it. Just my opinion.

Thanks, I figured it out. Interesting choice of the C chord in the progression since my ears told me it should be G... I'm using C though it was just a leading note. Awesome stuff. Is it a D or D minor in the bridge? (D, F# A being D and D, F, A being D minor). It sounds like Dm to me but I could be wrong..

Are you feeling any better?  :?:

I had a dream I was at a Shannon Thomas concert and she had the chords for Don't Be Beautiful on the piano. I don't think they're right.

Very nice writing, I might take out "raped" because that word, as I'm sure you're aware of, may mean something deep to some people.

I did sing, however my piano is very loud. Where was I off? I did little things to make it my own (not singing the bridge.  :roll:). Whenever it's somebody elses song I mostly look at the chords and what kind of pattern the notes take on the page.

I doubt it's any better, I tend to like the song slow. It's a sad song, so I think it should be treated like that.
