Set List

Carousel
Fairweather Friend
Get Good
London
Hear the Bells
A Thousand Miles
I Don't Want to Be a Bride

Videos
Carousel
Part of Fairweather Friend
Speech & Get Good
Hear the Bells/Speech/I Don't Want to Be a Bride

* I will cut the last video into separate videos
*I have work in the morning so won't have these up until tomorrow evening. The videos are pretty good quality, I think.

The audience was as expected. People talking but the video filtered most of that out. I didn't record ATM because that's when everyone, of course, shouted and stuff. I recorded everything but ATM and London. She did ATM on the Rhodes. Skye played the guitar on Get Good, quite nicely I may say and did this cool whistle thing for Carousel. I really enjoyed this concert! It was brief but every minute of it was just wonderful. She had her night shop and the end of her set where she autographed. Venue peeps did not let people take pictures with her because, for whatever reason, she had to be done with her night shop by the time Matt went on stage. I got a piano book and a chocolate. I really enjoyed this concert! Reminded me so much of a few years back when she played at Park West, this was just shorer : (. Loved her voice and the music and everything!

Is the shop taking credit/debit cards or just cash? Thanks!

I was pretty sure this already had its own thread, none the less, if it does, can a mod merge? Thanks! Back to business.

Anyone else going tomorrow? I am for sure going with my best friend who is a fellow nessaholic. I was wondering if anyone has ever attend this venue before? I am pretty sure it is run by the same people who run Park West, but could be wrong. I know Park West is not strict with cameras so I hope this place isn't as well.

I liked it but I really really liked it once she got on the piano. I think that's when everything flowed better. I totally didn't notice Ari over taking Vanessa's voice..... I think it was overall a great performance! :D

As of right now I know that I really want to go to the Chicago show. I would buy my tickets now but have to wait for next paycheck b/c I'm using this one for stupid text books. I only know the one song from Matt, Come on get Higher. I enjoy it. I would stick around and see him afterwards I think. I didn't for Joshua when she came last in the summer.

I'm pretty sure as far as we know here on the board, lord knows. The only thing Vanessa has said is just simply mentioning that she left her label. But in terms of how and if it was peaceful and all, I don't think that's like out there.

I needed another copy for a gift today so I went to Target...SOLD OUT! Then went to Walmart..they had 2. I think it may chart okay : )

When I looked online for my local target, they didn't even have them in store, only online..

They had a big empty section with her name on it so they seemed to have had them instores

& I think the chart updates on sunday if i'm not mistaken

They have it, they just didn't add her under the new release end cap but a different one... dont' know why... lol I work in the department at a store. I was sly and moved her cd out front to the new release end cap. Which seemed to work because the day I did it the rest of the copies we had left were bought.

lol thats why she said "how Gizmo has grown." I'm pretty sure she has mentioned it before that the owl's name in the ATM music video is Gizmo.

General Vanessa Carlton Discussion / Re: Daily Californian review

The reviewer reviewed it like they were expecting teeny bopper radio friendly pop girl music. Like they expected for her to be the exact same music wise from back in Be Not Nobody. The review was too rushed. They didn't take their time. It was nothing but opinion. You can't say think that you found bad. The point of reviews are to provide constructive criticism based on the music. If it was good say why, if it was bad say why, etc. Don't just say it was amazing or it was horrible. It was just nothing but opinion. Sadly, reviews are like this a lot no a days. I hate that.

Just got mine at the Best Buy at 62nd/B'way.  They have the name listed as VAN CARLTON on the little plastic separators.  Awesome, Best Buy, just awesome.  3 or 4 copies there.  Way to go, R&T!!!

Dan/NS

The Target I work at only got 4 copies. Better than not at all I suppose.

I saw on target.com they weren't selling it in stores so I went to walmart, though I hate to support them.  album was only 10 there and they only had 2 copies.  I love the simplicity !

Target is selling it. They messed up and put it as online only. But we have it. I work there lol, bought my copy first thing in the morning when I went in for work. :D

This is the first time I bought an actual whole album on iTunes, still getting a physical copy tomorrow, and first time I've used iTunes LP. I love it! Though I would still have liked a .PDF version of the booklet. Oh wells.
