Yes!  Yes!  The orange couch and Are You Afraid of the Dark!  The one episode I remember from Are You Afraid of the Dark is the one where you'd put on those kooky glasses and see space aliens.

Yes, Alex Mack!  Once again, for those of you who don't know - I look like Annie Mack.

Roundhouse!  I love how'd they suddenly bust out into these choreographed dances.  There was always this one dance move that was featured show after show after show:  the one where a guy would fall face forward toward the floor or on top of a girl, and put his hands out in front of him at the last minute to keep his face from hitting the ground or the girl he was above.  That always impressed me/distracted me.

you do look like annie mack - and i remember that alien glasses episode - i remeber one with scary clowns - and there was one where they moved into a haunted house - and it was always this same group of kids that sat around the fire telling the stories - i had my faves i will have to take a trip down memory lane to remember which one's were my faves -  but i would get excited when my faves told the story - i remeber something about a carousel, and i remember something about a kid who wanted to be a magician and the magic store was haunted - that show freaked me out - awww memories of being a pre-teen - i remember that show sisters came on, on NBC after snick and i would go to my friend's houses and sleep over and watch snick and sisters - i loved it!

while looking up i would this ....

"Are You Afraid Of The Dark? (1999) premiered on Nickelodeon on February 6, 1999. Similar to the original "Are You Afraid Of The Dark", which aired from 1991-96, this series is an anthology series with several different kids in it. Every show starts with a meeting of The Midnight Society, a group who gets together to trade scary stories around a campfire. As soon as someone starts telling a scary story we get to see what is happening in that story. The only original cast member returning for the new show is Daniel DeSanto, who is once again playing Tucker.

Cast:
Tucker ............................................... Daniel DeSanto
Vange ................................................ Vanessa Lengies
Quinn ................................................ Kareem Blackwell
Megan ................................................ Elisha Cuthbert
Andy ................................................. David Deveau"

it has the daughter from 24 on it - never saw this version of the show - must be a canadian version - cause i know she is canadian!

I remember Roundhouse!  It was like In Living Color.........for kids!  Are You Afraid of the Dark will always be a classic to me.  My favorite episode was the one where the brother and sister are sent to a boarding school, and all the kids are brainwashed to get up in the middle fo the night and become the food for this big monster that lived in the basement of the school.  And then there was the movie which was wicked cool as well.
It is a crime to kill a neighbor, and an act of heroism to kill an enemy.  But who is an enemy and who is a neighbor is purely a matter of social definition.  - E.R. Leach

Are You Afraid Of The Dark?  premiered on Nickelodeon on August 15, 1992. The series is an anthology series with several different kids in it. Every show starts with a meeting of The Midnight Society, a group who gets together to trade scary stories around a campfire. As soon as someone starts telling a scary story we get to see what is happening in that story. This show was a spooky and scary show for kids before it was popular to be scary for kids, and that makes it very hip.

Are You Afraid of the Dark? is a show based on a group of kids called "The Midnight Society". Members meet in a location in the woods and take turns telling their own spooky tales.

The series aired on Nickelodeon in the United States as part of their SNICK line-up in 1992. It lasted for 5 seasons until it was cancelled in 1996. Later on, it returned to Nickelodeon's SNICK block with a new cast for two seasons from 1999-2000.

Scheduled Times

Are You Afraid of the Dark? currently airs on the Family Channel in Canada quite a few times per week.

FAQ

How many years has "The Midnight Society" gone on for? According to the three part episode from Season 7, the original Midnight Society had meetings in 1937, lasting all the way to present day.

Has this show been cancelled? Yes, twice. It ran for 5 seasons, was cancelled, came back nearly 3 years later for two more seasons and was cancelled once again.

Does the series currently air in the US? Aside from making a brief 4 episode appearance during the week of Halloween 2002 on Nickelodeon, Are You Afraid of the Dark? does not currently air in the States.

On her first day of junior high, Alexandra Mack was accidentally doused with a mysterious chemical called GC-161 and it changed her life forever. Now Alex is the only high schooler she knows who can zap electricity from her fingertips, morph into an oozing blob of goo, and even make other people morph just by touching them. But having superpowers isn't all just fun and games—the company bigwigs that make GC-161 know that some kid was sprayed with the stuff and they'll stop at nothing to find her, so Alex has to keep the powers secret. And Alex's powers aren't easy to hide—especially when they make her glow unexpectedly. But with the help of her best friend, Ray, and her genius sister, Annie, Alex manages to avoid being discovered and keep away from that truck that keeps following her around.

When you think about all the ridiculous stuff you have to put up with in school, on dates, and even in your own family, it's no wonder we don't always know how to handle it all at once. Luckily, there's Clarissa. Clarissa's a high school student who has to deal with a couple of ex-hippie parents and an obnoxious younger brother named Ferguson. Along with her best friend Sam, Clarissa somehow manages to keep her sanity through it all--as well as her sense of humor, her eye for fashion and her knack for making sense out of life.

Clarissa Darling

Clarissa's smart, she's popular, and she's got a great eye for fashion. So why does she spend so much time pondering life's unanswered questions, like "Are teachers trying to scar kids for life by making them pose for school pictures?" or "Can friends remain friends without dating?" Apparently, even popular kids like Clarissa wrestle with these mysteries. But Clarissa is also good at getting them out in the open. And if there's one thing Clarissa has learned, it's that there are no easy answers.

Melissa Joan Hart

Born on April 18, 1976 in New York, Melissa acted in her first commercial at the age of four. She then did a guest appearance on "Saturday Night Live," and her career took off from there. Melissa was acting in theater productions in New York when she jumped at the chance to star in "Clarissa Explains It All." After playing Clarissa for five years Melissa bought herself a broomstick and took on another title role: Sabrina in "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch" on ABC. Off the set, Melissa enjoys skiing, snowboarding, British Literature and playing the guitar. And how does Melissa explain it all? "Be yourself!" is her philosophy of life.

Shelby got bitten by the crime-solving bug while living with her Grandpa in Cocoa Beach. Pretty soon, Shelby was so into searching for clues, that even moving to Wilton, Massachusetts with her Grandpa didn't stop her. It wasn’t easy leaving her friends in Cocoa Beach, but Shelby jumped at the chance to tackle all new mysteries in a brand new city! Sure being a sleuth can be dangerous, but it's all part of the job for Shelby Woo. Ok, maybe solving mysteries isn’t really her JOB—technically, she's a police special assistant, which is an official-sounding name for a trainee. So what if she's only 17 and keeps getting yelled at for getting involved? If mysteries kept falling into your lap, wouldn't YOU want to solve them?
