I dunno, I just have doubts about Irv continuing to pump money into Vanessa if he doesn't start seeing a return on his investments eventually at some point down the line. I mean, we know that Irv loves Vanessa and her music, but he's still a business man. :/ So I dunno.

I don't know. For some reason I don't think this CD has been promoted enough. I mean I know she's been doing a lot of things, but I haven't even heard it on the radio once yet!

It's getting some airplay here. So far I've heard it three times.

I disagree. The level of passion that he has for Vanessa and her music surpasses that of anyone she's worked with before. Also, it's been said that the promotion for this album is a 2-year push, and Irv said that he wasn't pressuring her into immediate success.

I have faith in this guy; Vanessa's smart and she seems to really love working with him. He's her "ganesh," remember?

I feel the opposite way as far as Irv. Yes he is a businessman, but at the same time he bought really low on V, so he has no real reason to give up on her quickly. The people he will really push to get hits right away are Ja and Lloyd probably. I think the label and co. will do this thing right and V will see the benefits of it in 2008 if not sooner.

IMO there is a mad rush to judgment on the part of some here. VC and Irv are not opening a movie; it's an album. It doesn't have to be a scorcher right out of the box. Joe Public has no idea who she is, or forgot, save for ATM/OD.

If VC were a football team, this would be the "rebuilding" season. It will take some time, and maybe even another album, to get her back up there. There's still so much to be said and done for this album.

I would say I'm concerned that there is zero New York radio play for NF, though.

Actually, I wonder if the Top 200 Albums list takes into account digital downloads? Because the album has been doing marvellously online - it was just 9 on iTunes earlier today. And a #8 on downloaded albums is absolutely glorious. Let's hope they're two different sales measurements - that could add 10,000 copies onto the sales count if they are.
