A new NBC drama Medium (http://www.nbc.com/Medium/) with Patricia Arquette looks really good. They are promoting it like crazy. I hope it ends up being as good as it looks.
From Emmy Award-winning executive producer, creator and director Glenn Gordon Caron ("Moonlighting") comes "Medium," a chilling drama series inspired by the real-life story of research medium Allison Dubois. Patricia Arquette ("Stigmata," "Flirting with Disaster") stars as a young wife and mother who, since childhood, has been struggling to make sense of her dreams and visions of dead people.
Allison Dubois (Arquette) is a strong-willed young mother of three, a devoted wife and law student who begins to suspect that she can talk to dead people, see the future in her dreams and read people's thoughts. Fearing for her mental health, she turns for support to her husband Joe (Jake Weber, "U-571"), an aerospace engineer, who slowly comes to believe that what his wife is telling him just might be true. The real challenge is convincing her boss, D.A. Devalos (Miguel Sandoval) -- and the other doubters in the criminal justice system -- that her psychic abilities can give them the upper hand when it comes to solving violent and horrifying crimes whose mysteries often reside with those who live beyond the grave.

I actually enjoyed it. At first it was a little slow. It almost has a movie feel but it's too short. I do wish it was longer.
It's hard to believe that it's based on a real person. Weird.
There is another new episode on Thursday and then it goes to the regular time on Mondays.

hmm....NBC.com says it's a rebroadcast....i'll just set up a tape for it anyway...i still haven't watched the first episode

i watched the tape from monday last night....i liked the show. it's very interesting...i was hoping for a new episode at 10, but it was just the repeat (even though after monday's show, as you said, it advertised a new one) I'm definately going to keep watching though :D

I was just watching TV Guide Channel, and the ratings are in, and apparently Medium is doing quite well. They report that Monday's premiere had 16 million viewers, which was second only to the 18 million had by CSI. :D

It seems that they're going to be interviewing the real Allison DuBois on the Today Show on NBC tomorrow morning at 7:00 am. I don't think I'll be able to watch it, but in case anyone else can...

You're welcome. According to both TV Guide and TV Tome, the finale will be May 23rd. I hope they show repeats after the finale; I've missed a couple episodes and want to see them.
For any of you interested, Allison has a book out, Don't Kiss Them Good-bye, about her experiences with the paranormal (and to console those who have lost a loved one and/or have a gift like she does). Yes, Allison is real, and her book is very good!

It was a really good one. Kinda freaky. The end for me was like, well if she gets him out of her then they have to worry about other victims but I guess he said he had a few others anyway.
I can't believe she told the teacher. It was pretty funny though. He was an ass cause he didn't even see her cheat.

i guess it kind of shows that she's not perfect and can't stop every crime that is going to happen. i like that aspect a little.
but yeah, it was definately a freaky episode.

Well, she has 15 good years before he comes back. But he DID mention her daughters... so in fifteen years some creepy doctor may be possessing Ariel... or Bridgette... or Marie (the baby).

I just watched what I recorded from Monday, yesterday.
Man, that song repeating was annoying!! I can't even imagine. The ending was a bit abrupt.

I got some glasses at Penn Station so I was excited about that. Unfortunately, the episode wasn't that great. Only parts were in 3D.

yeah...i saw it. the episode wasn't bad, and the 3D parts were purdy cool, but the glasses didn't always work and were kinna distracting at parts.

I was really looking foward to last night's episode. I was flipping between "Prison Break" and "Las Vegas" when next I knew, I woke up and it was 12:30!! I was so mad. I knew I should have set the timer just in case. :cry:

Yeah so it started with Allison having a dream, of course. She sees this coed entering a park, where she climbs this big rock/boulder thing to spray paint over something that says her soroity sucks. So Allison calls the police to look for this chick cause she fell. They think she's a weirdo. But her detective friend calls and thye don't find anything. Later in the day the family goes to the park and Bridgette finds the chick's backpack. She sends her husband to look for the rest of her, turns out she was raped, etc. etc. Allison is confused because she thought she only fell.
She later has another dream with some other chick and later the police find her dead, raped etc. too.
So Allison has another dream where this girl on the phone, asking her friend to call her back, she was home alone, blah blah. She calls the number and tells the girl to lock everything blah blah, the girl thinks she's a freak. Allison calls 911 and they call her back and so the girl is all freaked out and goes to make sure everything is locked, as she is closing the blinds she sees a dude outside her window. The guy ran off.
Allison's phone rings the next night and it's the guy who was outside the window. It seems he has the gift too. He says something to the effect of he is in front of her house, she jumps out of bed and his tires squeal.
Allison has a dream that he runs out of gas and they catch him. To be continued...
