General Vanessa Carlton Discussion / New version of "Rinse"
« on: April 02, 2003, 04:23:09 pm »
So I recieved a Vanessa cd in the mail today and to my surprise when I went to listen to it, "Rinse" was different, the beginning was a lot more upbeat, like singlish sounding. The name of the cd is "Vanessa Carlton, Selections from Be Not Nobody" it's rare and most of it is the same, although OD sounds a bit diff as well.

So i was sitting in my room and i heard like screams coming from outside and at first i thought it was an animal getting killed or eaten or something but then noticed it was coming from my next door neighbors house and i could hear the mother yelling and the kid screaming and you could see her chasing the kid around the house, it's sad but quite amusing

General Vanessa Carlton Discussion / Rare Vanessa cd
« on: March 29, 2003, 08:45:26 pm »
So i was looking around the web today and i actually found a Vanessa cd i don't have, and it shocked me when i saw it here's the picture of it

It's the Japanese import of  Be Not Nobody it is said to have 2 bonus tracks, when i looked on ebay for this i could not find it. Does anyone have this version of the album? I own about 4 copies of BnN, the first one is the one i bought at the Virgin Mega Store in times square the day her album came out and which is signed, the second one is the same version just from a different store, my third copy is the Special Tour Edition one and my 4th is the other Japanese import version with the title and songs in Japanese, i haven't opened it yet so i don't know if the inside is any different. But the cd shown above is one i've never see, so if anyone could help it would be great

Thanks

Completely Off-Topic / The number 434, maybe someone can help me.
« on: March 29, 2003, 02:03:28 pm »
For about 6 years now I have been haunted by these numbers, i've tried every possible solution and so far have come up with

I've run down the numerology path and still nothing although had a couple of clues there.

434 divided by 26 = the letter Q if rounded up and P if not

Then there's the song by Sheryl Crow "All I wanna do" which is 4:34 long and it mentions Santa Monica Blvd a lot so maybe that's another clue.

The weirdest thing though is the first girl i ever fell in love with, the first 3 digits to her phone number were 434 which i think this is where it originated.  In any case about 4 months ago i went shopping and got a dollar bill with her phone number as the serial number on ((see picture below)) and that really freaked me out.

The I noticed that Beth had 434 in her name on here which i thought might be a clue.

I don't know, but if any of you can figure this out better than i can it would be a miracle. Below is a picture of the dollar bill

Hey I was sitting here thinking how cool it would be for Vanessa to do another cover either on the next album or on her next tour.  I have a couple in mind two are:

"To A Wild Rose" by: E. A. MacDowell
"Hazy Shade Of Winter" by: The Bangles

Completely Off-Topic / I'm on TV tonite if any of you want to see me.

I posted this about a month ago but here goes again.

3-20-03

If you have digital cable the station is "Noggin" it's one of the Nickelodeon stations.  The show is on at 1:30am (thats in a couple of hours) and also at 7:30pm that night

The show is called "The Adventures of Pete & Pete"
The episode is called "New Years Eve Pete"

I was in this episode about 10 years ago back when i was in 6th grade. You can see me in the clips where Pete and Artie are in the bowling alley bowling. Also if you watch the Soprano's you'll notice Big P*ssy is in this episode, as he plays a pro bowling scout.

The first part where you can see me is right when Artie (the guy in yellow) opens the bowling ball and you see the hamster, then next right when Artie is swinging the ball  if you look to the right side of the screen you will see 2 people sitting there, I'm on the right side rooting and cheering. I have on a light grey sweatshirt, you'll also nice someone walks by in the background behind me.

The next scene i'm in is right after Artie (guy in yellow) spits on the bowling score sheet, then you see him on his back talking to the bowling ball, then you see lil pete writing the scores in as he says "with one frame left, Artie just needed 1 strike to win it all".at that point look in the upper right of your screen (it goes by real fast it's right after Pete puts in the score) you'll notice 2 people walking by in the background, i'm walking in the red jacket pointing to Artie. After that I line up right behind Artie (the guy in yellow) you can kinda see me but not really.

The scene was shot in Lodi, NJ and took 3 days to do the whole bowling scene thing.  I became pretty good friends with Danny Tamberelli* (*spelling) at the time but lost touch when i moved a couple years later.  I got to miss 2 days of school to film this even though it wasn't anythign big.

Just thought i'de let all of you know =)

Something you may not know about me is thatI collect Thundercat's figures, i've been working on it for abotu a year now and i'm about 6 figures shy of the entire collection. As for getting all the accesories and weapons thats the hardest part but it's a fun hobby that i like to do when i'm not working or writing music.
