Post by: NoelleNC on July 19, 2007, 04:10:56 pm: Well I didn't think I would, but I wrote another new song yesterday. I am still sort of learning it, so this recording isn't as polished as I'd like, but I was excited and wanted to record it. There are mistakes in the recording too, I know, but it's ok!

Umm, it's not about anyone like my last song was. It's out of my imagination after initially thinking up the first two lines of the chorus. I promise I am quite happy in my relationship =) But since there are more lyrics in this song than the last and I admit I sort of mumble, here is what I'm saying...

I'd been a little skeptical that it fit and so his liking it helped me feel like it fit, but I posted this on Hanson's forums and everyone who commented said they liked it (which was nice hehe) but that the bridge part was "awkward". I guess it sort of is, and I might be able to play it in such a way that it fits better, but I think it's not completely out of place! I think of it as the part of forlorn reminiscing in the song before the person finally makes up her mind that she is fed up beyond reconcile.

I can see how you could say we look alike. We have similar coloring and are both about the same frame size, except I'm shorter lol.

You have a great voice. Are you considering a career in music, because if all your songs are like this then you're incredibly talented.

Listened to the two myspace songs.

We all said so: again gorgeous. Love the haunting atmosphere and your voice works excellently with it. Only in the last stages of the song the humming becomes a little too dominant for my taste, but that's a minor thing. I would probably buy this....

Back to the breeze: Good, but not as great as your other two songs. The "no, no, no" part feels a little too awkward and sort of detached from the rest of the song, I don't know how to explain it, but it is too big of a switch. However, your voice is again excellent. I am hearing a bit of Jewel and Vanessa in it actually.

If you write any new songs I hope you'll post them.

I've gotten more used to it after hearing it a few times, but I know what you mean. That's pretty much been the general consensus.

But thanks- we all said so and would you are my favorite I've written, too. they are fun to sing AND play hehe, for me at least.

oh ps- i'm not trying to make a career of music professionally right now. it's a hobby :)

Post by: NoelleNC on September 18, 2007, 08:17:35 am: Thanks! I can't usually write songs. I've maybe written a total of 10 songs in the past 5 years. I just happen to get lucky and think of something I like every once in awhile.

I mostly like learning and playing other people' songs =)
