It's kind of random but I think she'd sound awesome in a song with Jimmy Eat World, one of their slower ballads. They use female backup singers a lot anyway, why not try a duet? =)

I really like these new songs! I was sort of disappointed by H&T as a whole but these songs sound a lot more mature and the piano is really nice. The part near the end of Carousel is so pretty! Yay!

Edit: Also, it seems like she's changed her singing style a little bit, especially on the high notes. I think she's using a more sing-song cadence and it's working well to smooth out the sometimes rough edges to her voice.

Hmm, interesting. I wonder why she finally decided to say that after all this time. She doesn't seem like the type of person who would hold something like that in if it had been on her mind which makes me wonder if it's a new revelation for her or something. My cousin had a very tough couple of relationships and then started dating women because she didn't trust men anymore, I wonder if that is what happened with Vanessa or if she always felt that way.

I just decided to look VC up again to see if anything was going on with her. Wow, her website is a total mess. Even if she dislikes technology she should realize in this day and age it's the best way to find and maintain your fanbase. I know she doesn't care about being "famous" per-se, but she could at least respect the fans she does have who are the only real shot she has of continuing making music successfully. If it weren't for this website we would really have nowhere to go because of all the spam on her official site. It's pretty sad. Not to mention, the spam on her site is disgusting and vulgar in many cases....

oh man. last year in Disney Hanson was playing but Pete didn't want to go see them (lol) and this year the same week Better Than Ezra. Two of my most favorite bands!!!! I thought maybe they were all playing at once, for me seeing BTE with Vanessa Carlton would be like a dream come true hehe

Yeah, I really like their album Because of the Times. Their sound has changed alot since they started and some people dislike it. At first I didn't really think it was a bad thing, but now that I hear their last 2 albums back to back I prefer the former so much more. There are a couple really good songs on the new album, like the first 3, but I think it is kind of boring compared to their older stuff. STILL he does have an awesome voice and they are still heads and tails above most of the crap out there right now. I just hope they don't become Top 40 sell-outs after the success of "Use Somebody".

Aww, some good audio of London. I like that song, it has a calming/charming feel.

Also, just want to add that Who's To Say still gives me chills whenever I first start to hear it It is such a good song, I wish she'd released it. I think it would have done well. Or maybe she can re-record/release. I think it'd work today even better than a few years ago. Especially with the right video.
