This is so her. It sounds more back to her old self as opposed to Heroes and Thieves.
It's SO good. Like, I don't know. I thought I was losing my love for her music a bit, but this just gave me a big reminder as to why I love her.

God damn it. My heart is pounding. I can't believe I get this so excited about music.

I too wish the lyrics were a little clearer, but the piano is outstanding. I can't even say how beautiful it sounds. Can't wait to get more info on the song! Coolie. Wouldn't it be pretty if this song was called 'London' ?

Yeah, pretty much. I was like "V has a new song? Where the hell have I been?" lol.

The piano is hot on this, I hope we get a better recording for lyrics sometime soon. :)

Thanks for the video and the mp3, it is currently playing on repeat on my itunes :-)

there are only a few lines of the lyrics I can decipher, like in the opening she says:

"wasting days away
waiting on a new age
times have changed
but I get older one more year"

then later on I can hear her sing "but I've never been so sure," and "never gone", "got a knife throwing...", "but the walls have to move/and she never answers back" and that's about it.

(can you hear the 'but' coming on?) BUT my mom just had a pretty harsh financial collapse. Like everyone else she has had her savings go from very strong to worthless, but also she had something unrelated to the economy and more about a long story I won't get into, that has made her basically flat broke... But I'm gonna keep a positive prospective on things and I think it'll get better... In fact, it already has today. We got great news....

ANYWAY! The point is, I MIGHT not go to the concert now, even though I was definitely going to go before. Meaning that I won't be able to bring my mom's recorder (she works for a magazine and has one for interviews)... It's really awesome quality, too.

But I'll think positive and hope to whatever higher power that I do. And when I do, I will definitely give you any songs she plays, especially the new ones. In wondrous quality! =]

Was this listed anywhere? I had my own gig, so I wouldn't have been able to go, but still.

Song sounds pretty good. I'd need to hear something in better quality.

I'm praying that VC will go the indie route and is not under the tyranny of Universal Morons Group any longer. She could produce this herself, save thousands, end up owning the album master, and be done with the majors!

I am getting a little tired of her staccato breaks (the pointed, dun dun dun dun dun parts)though. Well, in this song it sounds a little unprofessional compared to the rest of the song and I think it'd sound smoother with a touch of sustain.
