one of Vanessa's old PR people: Mike Kilmon was hanging out with Vanessa last night in NY.
(he said so on his facebook)
and he also tweeted last night:
NEW @VANESSACARLTON ALBUM Rabbits on the Run DUE OUT LATER THIS YEAR!
so I guess this means, despite Vanessa not saying anything about the album name at the Nashville show, the album is still going to be called Rabbits on the Run. AND even though she said it would come out "eventually"... it's still planned to come out "later this year"...
just thought I'd share...

They are actually putting her on the same category as Tila Tequila and Kesha. 
Being a bisexual female isn't very controversial anymore, UNLESS you are in the gay community, them people will call you a liar and accuse you of having other motives to coming out than just being honest and open.

I know her coming out was as honest as it gets and not a career move, but I really hope it helps her career anyway. Maybe with all the attention she's getting right now she might get a new record deal.

She's not a big celebrity but she is a celebrity and a public figure, and her coming out is relevant because LGBT visibility is very important to end homophobia.
I also think it's important for bisexual women, because lately many pop singers (Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Ke$ha) have played the bi card (or the "I'd screw anything that moves" card) just to get attention and get people talking about them; female bisexuality isn't taken seriously anymore. So, when someone like Vanessa (who doesn't use sex or controversy to help her career) comes out, it really is a big deal.

I know!!!!! But I'm so happy for her!!! She is now a the top of my LGBT idols list. Maybe we can get a video with a female love interest for the next album.

Dear Ones,
I took a quick break from recording to see my lil wizard man victor (beloved dog). I head back to london nxt wed to do strings. The Rabbit and it's spectrum of meaning (time slipping, mind floating) has defined these last few years. I'm calling the record "Rabbits On the Run." Speaking of running, I was attacked by a dog on Sunday. It was a young pitbull...ran off it's lawn, crossed street, chased me into the woods and bit into my leg. Nightmare in real time. A lovely couple (w 3 kids in back) stopped their car and spooked the dog away b4 he presumably got me again. Then they proceeded to let a girl (me), covered in blood and shaking like a leaf into their car and let me use their phone!!! The grand horror would have been if I had been running with victor. He would have been killed.
I love dogs. An ex-boyfriend had a pitbull and I loved her like my own for 4 years, but what do we do with the dogs like the one that got me? I don't like the idea of euthanizing young dogs. The pup is as much a victim as I am, but i think it's a ticking time bomb and it could easily maul a kid next. My dream is that Cesar Millan would take the dog in. Am I nuts to think this is a possibility? If no, then this dog is en route to a shelter where it will fail an aggression test and then be put down.
I swear my next tweet will be back to hobbits and music. swear.

The battle for same sex marriage will never be lost permanently, we will keep fighting for our rights until the law recognizes them; and in the case of marriage that means that our unions shouldn't have a different name or less benefits than those between a man and a woman. And this is not the place to discuss this, I didn't mean to start a whole discussion about gay rights, I was just expresing my gratitude to Vanessa for supporting us so oppenly.

Yeah, "Private Radio" and "Who's to Say" are also good examples of that; but I do understand why they chose "White Houses" as a single. What bothered me was how easily A&M gave up on her, it was like "Oh, her single failed in the charts? Stop all the efforts and promotion for the album! And cancel her record deal!". A couple of years ago someone posted a magazine scan where Vanessa said that she wanted "Who's to Say" to become something like a gay anthem, with a gay video and that; that would have been nice too.
