is it too early to start a thread raving about this song?

i simply can't believe how true it is...i'm sure any girl who's ever fallen for a bad boy (or many, many bad boys, in my case) will agree.  

i love the lines:

"now I see a different man rewriting memories"

"The dreamers get punished most by the truth"

"You say alright...But it's ink on a page"

"It's gotta break in front of me...And it's breaking"

"I loved you all the way, and I'd pick the fool any day"


i haven't been on here in a while; i don't know if you all knew this song before the album.  actually, i'm going to assume that you did, since the lyrics are already in the "heroes and thieves" section.  

mods, forgive me for a possible repost?  let this fly?  i am loooving this song.

I also LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this song but in all honesty I liked the acoustic version of it better. I wasn't too happy with arrangements on it. It was more emotional and sad before and it's almost like they tried to make it upbeat with the arrangements. I would have been happier with the song if it was just V and the piano but it's okay I love the song regardless and I can't wait to hear it live again!

i like it.

the arrangement of the song is really bubbly (?) and happy sort of, while the lyrics are really sad. it's nice.

but i think i prefer the acoustic too. it sounds better with just the piano & vocals.

i agree....this song is INCREDIBLE> imo it has the best lyrics on the album :)

Same here - I LOVE it and trust me, I can more than relate to the song (cough5yearrelationshipcough)

And I have to say I like it more than the live version - V's voice is much better in this. Maybe it is less sad, but the recording of her voice is a drastic improvement - not anywhere as offkey as the live version (maybe it just wasn't her day?)

And I love the violins, drums, etc. Great arrangement.

But is it really Stephen we hear doing backing vocals at the end??..

oh thats definitely stephan singing in the background. that's his signature yell thing he does lol

right around the time she starts singing and it's breaking its breaking its breaking... you can def hear him for those who are wondering what we are talking about lol

i love this song, the only thing i don't really like is the intro... it's too... whistly.

but other than that, great song. i love when she goes "And it's BREAKING...."
