Just got home from the show. Vanessa was amazing. I was entranced by the music.  Yeah- I was the girl swaying to the music..The show started around 9pm and lasted until about 10PM.
Irv introduced her and she wore a red dress that had a deep V in the front.

She played the following songs (I couldn't remember the exact order)

ordinary day
hands on me
nolita fairytale
white houses
the one
heroes and thieves
fools like me
A thousand miles
Home
who's to say**encore

She made some mistakes here and there and made jokes about it. It was a fun show!

A LOT of people were taking photos and videos.. I hope they share 'em here;-) VC requested that during home, no photos be taken and people respected her request.
Didn't get a chance to meet her after the show b/c apparently you had to have these checkered wrist bands from the label of WPLJ to go up the balcony where she hung out after the show.

It was an amazing show. I was impressed by the power of her voice this go around.

For me it's a glance
And a smile on your face
A touch of your hands
An honest embrace - VC, Home

yay!!!
just got back.
heres how it all went.

ok so I got there sometime like 5:30ish and waited in line with Nicole and a few other people so standing there and then i donno what time, but Vanessa pulled up and out of the car comes Victor!!
he's SO freakin cute!!!!
he looked so happy, jumping around and such.
at first he didnt have a leash on, but then Vanessa got out and put one on him...
so as Vanessa was walking to/into the building she said hi to all, what like 10 of us then, and said thanks for coming ...

so that was exciting!
then more waiting outside..
but what was kinda cool is we could hear the sound check from outside...

so it wasn't that loud that we heard everything, but we could hear a bunch of it..
she played ...let me think...
well I know she played Fools Like Me, and Heroes And Thieves
and this is the funny part, we heard Vanessa repeat over and over
"Who we are"
and we thought it was a new song, because it really sounded like a new song and something we never heard before...
but the only words we could hear were "Who we are", over and over...
so we we're like, ok , I guess it's called "Who We Are"
but a few minutes later, we hear the same thing, and I'm thinking, DANG this is a LONG song...
but then we hear more piano, and I'm like... OHHHH

turns out Vanessa was practicing a new way of singing "Who's To Say"
...
(at some point, they stuck on the wall above the main door like a printer paper size white paper, with "vanessa carlton" on it, and "bowery ballroom" blah... it was real ghetto, hahaha it looked like they just made it now, and i bet someone did... there was another one found inside)
so blah blah blah, sorry I forget what other songs she played for the sound check, we weren't really paying a whole lot of attention to it..
maybe someone else will remember.. White Houses might've been one of them, but i'm really not sure...
anyway blah blah blah.. more waiting and eventually at ...7:30? they let us in..
it may've been 7, I wasn't paying attention, but anyway, they brought us downstairs to the bar area, and had us wait more again, only this time they tortured us with horrible music on repeat.
so blah blah blah i dont remember what time, probably like 8ish, they let us upstairs to the actual stage area..
and holy crap..
there were loads of Nolita Fairytale/Heroes And Thieves posters on the walls... everywhere....
ok, I'll settle your curiousity now... they look...
Exactly like the Nolita Fairytale single's artwork.
I actually managed to steal 2, so I might scan one later if I can..
its actually the nolita fairytale album cover exactly, but with more at the end, like "Featuring Stevie Nicks, Produced By Stephan Jenkins and Linda Perry, In Stores October 2007"

so, so where was I...
so there was a bunch of people now, the line got bigger as time passed,
so whatever the people in the front of the line took their places in the front of the stage.. so, YAY i finally got to stand front row =)
and...yeah awesome..
random escapades include..
the purple/blacklights turning on, the continual same 1 or 2 songs being played on repeat, torturing me again, the feeling of the carpet   , laughing as nicole and friend put on deodorant and other make up hahaah.
the lighting of the inscents...
...the waiting...
the lighting of more inscents, more waiting, the noticing Irv Gotti in the reserved vip area upstairs,
and.... the putting out of the set lists!!!
woo! that was exciting.. hahaha, really, it was, everyone started taking pictures of the setlist on the floor to try to read it, cause it was dark, and impossile to see..
so i tried, and got pretty crappy pics, someone else got a really good pic of it, and we basically knew what the setlist said now...

so fastforward, Vanessa didn't come out for a while, it was like after 9 and Irv Gotti came out!
she starting talking, saying "V is the fucking shit!" he cursed like 2 times, it was cool... uh basically more or less, he just introduced her...
he exited stage and Vanessa finally came out!

here we go, here's what the original setlist said:
VC Bowery
Ordinary Day
Hands On Me
Nolita Fairytale
The One
White Houses
Heroes And
Thieves
Who's To Say
Fools Like Me
Home
A T M

...and this is the order she actually played them in...
Ordinary Day
Hands On Me
Nolita Fairytale
The One
White Houses
Heroes And Thieves
Fools Like Me
A Thousand Miles
Home
**encore**
Who's To Say

...she began by saying i'm going to play old songs and new songs, etc..
ordinary day...devide and conqure lyrics, as always...
hands on me... mentioned the name thing and her mother not liking(the name)
nolita fairytale... mentioned it being the first single off her album
the one...  something about everyone loses love or something, same new lyrics.. "i don't need you to tell me I'm the one..." also i noticed it 100% is "funny how you always liked his mind"
white houses, everyone sang along as they did with ordinary day
heroes and thieves, ... uhh i think Gina can tell us what she said before the song, if she kept her voicemail, and if she can hear it,
but yeah, it was basically the same thing she always says
Fools Like Me... Vanessa flat out said "I am a fool"
and that you should always pick the fool, or something... possibly something about learning from this, i can't remember everything she said :/
A Thousand Miles, she was really into it, and did the hand jestures and such for the croud to sing along... and they did... she let us sing most of the chorus, and did the whole big pause thing before the last "tonight"
Home, she said this was her last song, and said something like 'i am home' i think. I'm really leaving a bunch of stuff out, sorry, I'm trying to remember as much as I can...
so she left and did the dress thingy, waved, might've blew a kiss, don't remember and came back and said "I'm all out of songs" and said something like "do you want to hear Who's to Say?"and just kinda went and did it..
she did the whole intro about this is for people who are in relationships not approved by, 1, your Mother, or 2, George Bush. (yes, she said George Bush, and not "the government")
she did sing this differently... it was real cool =)
she sang a bunch of extra "who we are"'s at the end of the last "who we are" it worked well =)
and then she did all the stuff again and left the stage..

awesome, and well worth the ticket price., I was expecting a longer set, it turned out to be like 50/55 mins long.. but whatever :/
I had loads of fun, and it was awesome =)

and... here are my pictures!!!!
(posting the links, because i have a lot of pics)

Irv introducing Vanessa, we was happy that we all came, and knew we waited forever outside

my attempt at trying to read the setlist, and a nice pic of the carpet
http://kulpdogg.googlepages.com/setlist2.JPG
you can see Vanessa's Poland Spring's...

http://kulpdogg.googlepages.com/vc1.JPG
really bad picture, hahaha, the first, i was in a rush to take it.
http://kulpdogg.googlepages.com/vc2.JPG
probably playing Ordinary Day
http://kulpdogg.googlepages.com/vc3.JPG
singing all purdy like
http://kulpdogg.googlepages.com/vc4.JPG
playing piano
http://kulpdogg.googlepages.com/vc5.JPG
singing
http://kulpdogg.googlepages.com/vc6.JPG
talking
http://kulpdogg.googlepages.com/vc7.JPG
singing
http://kulpdogg.googlepages.com/vc8.JPG
ooo la la, drinking water all sexy like, hahaha
http://kulpdogg.googlepages.com/vc9.JPG
rawr!!! explaining something....i think 8O
http://kulpdogg.googlepages.com/vc10.JPG
singing, and you can see the sweat mark she was talking about how she didn't want people to see it
http://kulpdogg.googlepages.com/vc11.JPG
in the middle of playing.. oo, nice action shot.
and did I mention she had like one strip of her hair braided... no hat at all..
http://kulpdogg.googlepages.com/vc12.JPG
talking
http://kulpdogg.googlepages.com/vc13.JPG
playing, good picture, more sweat
http://kulpdogg.googlepages.com/vc14.JPG
playing.. and i just remembered she said something about wearing fake eyelashes because she wanted to look pretty for us, but her hair kept getting stuck in between her eyelashes or something...
http://kulpdogg.googlepages.com/vc15.JPG
bad picture, but full body, you can see the back of her pretty red dress
http://kulpdogg.googlepages.com/vc16.JPG
back for the encore, playing who's to say
http://kulpdogg.googlepages.com/vc17.JPG
and awesome pic at the end when she stood up and got close before she left.
 :D

I had to leave like right after it was done, so I don't really know if anything exciting happened after it was over :/

I know, long post, but, yay!!!!!
and p.s.
I don't know if anyone recorded anything...
but there were a lot of people there with cameras..
which reminds me, at one point Vanessa actually said
"if you already got your pictures, please don't take anymore, i'm singing and i look away and im blinded and i have to think for a second to remember the words" or something close to that.
all in all, amazing, my 4th time seeing Vanessa live, and I loved it!

Thanks for the review. It sounds like you all had a brilliant time at the concert.

I'm disappointed at how the artwork is going to come out though. :(

As you know, V's label has given us press passes for the shows with stipulations for only the 1st 3 songs and no flash. My friend, Ruth Eichmiller went to the show last night and obeyed the rules so these were taken with no flash.

Thanks to Nicole and probably Kulpy for letting her squeeze in.

These and more will soon be in the gallery. Click on the image to start the slideshow.
