She's veeeeeerrrrry cool. Piano-based, lyrically-driven, wonderful music. A few of my favorite songs: On Your Shore, Limits of Our Love, Your Armor, & Up All Night.

If I must compare her to somebody, I'd say she's a bit like Missy Higgins. :wink:

The Veins EP and the Darkest Hour EP are both awesome. Charlotte will have a live DVD come out sometime in early 2006, so I am really looking forward to that.

I cannot wait for Stromatta to come out. Hopefully Charlotte will get a decent record contract before too long. RCA never did much promotion for her, so hopefully her next label (whether major or Indie) will do more promotion.

My friend has offered to refund my money if I don't like it. I also heard she gives the best hugs. I've been hugged by the best so I don't know. Although it is kinda strange to hug a stranger. But hugs are good so we'll see. I guess I should take a listen to some of her stuff now.

It is interesting to see "Weird Goodbye" on the podcast. That song should be on her next CD "Stromata" which will be released this fall. I am really looking forward to that.

I saw Charlotte March 9th. She is selling the DVD's at her shows. If you do not attend a show, you have to wait until May 1 to order the DVD.

Post by: eclv on April 13, 2006, 12:24:26 pm: The show was cool but I was sad she didn't do my two favorite songs from Veins. It was the second to last day of the two and Charlotte was a little emo. It was so cute. My friend thought she was faking but she so wasn't. I learned that she's very emo anyway. At one point in the show she had her manager come up on stage and she sang Groovy Kind of Love it was sooo sweet. I had a tear. There were some fans there that threw a whole bunch of underwear and panties on stage, it was too funny.

After the show Charlotte made herself available to the people and took time with each one. I did some name dropping and she of course knew who all my friends were and thanked me so much for coming. My friend told me that she gives the best hugs and she most definitely does. Well she's up there with T and KH. Charlotte was definitely very sweet and I am so glad I finally took the time to check her out.

I know! I keep going back and forth as to which I like best. I really like the Dust lyrics, Empty Wells seems like her older stuff with all the piano so I love that, and Stromata is so different from ANYTHING.

I'm ready for the album for sure and I wonder if things like the German aria still made the cut. Plus I love "Inch" (away from heaven) so an album version of that should rock.
