If this doesn't make you a fan of Sara, I don't know what will.

Think I prefer the Coldplay version.

She Floats has a beautiful haunting melody, love the concept behind the song also.

As far as melodies go, nobody can beat Vanessa, one of the things I really love about her music.

they have recently started sending warning letters to people and more.

If it's like in France (the Hadopi law), it only targets P2P users on eMule or Bittorrent for instance, where your IP could be spotted. With direct download links (such as Mediafire, Megaupload...) you don't risk anything.

Thanks, I think its the same thing over here, though my ISP is the only one who is enforcing it. Looks like these links should be ok.

Can I ask a silly question, ok looking to download the rinse album and Nashville concert, but is it as simple as clicking on the link and clicking download or do I need to download something else? Tks  :)

The good thing is, we'll probably have an album before summer. The bad thing is, with 37 minutes, we've know we've already heard half the album: Fair-Weather Friends, London, I Don't Want To Be A Bride, Carousel, Tall Tales For Spring. If each of these songs is 3:30 (which is the average length for a song), then multiplication indicates we've heard 16:50 of the 37 minutes, which is not quite half. (But, I'm also assuming at least two of the five tracks I listed are more than the standard 3:30. Perhaps one is shorter. This is just an estimate.)

But anyway, I'm excited to hear "Fair-Weather Friends" in its studio form. I hope she doesn't change it too much, or add too much to it, like Adele did with "Someone Like You."

Totally agree, thats the beauty of Vanessa, live versions are so different to her produced version, so still think it will be like hearing a completely new album.

Having said that with the album being 37 mins, that probably means we might not see many instrumental outros like you have on songs like Home.

It's okay for me, though we've pretty much heard half of the record. But I really believe that the studio version will be a very different experience to the live ones, so I'm still looking forward to all of these songs.

Hope this is ok to post here.

Would love to have some of this stuff mentioned here on CD/DVD however where I am certain ISP's (including my own) have serious issues downloading files, to such an extent that they have recently started sending warning letters to people and more.

Not sure how much time and effort is involved but would someone be willing to(only if its not too complicated and time consuming) put a selected list on cd/dvd for me, obviously I would be willing to pay for the cd/postage and for time and effort.

If someone could I would be really grateful, please drop me a private message if you can. Thanks  :)

Hey great news, obviously would prefer 10 hrs and 37 mins of new material  ;D ,but can't wait for the album now, hopefully that means the website will be up and running soon.

Interesting point regarding the record company, wonder what the current situation is.

One song I don't see mentioned too much is Pretty Baby. Really love the demo version and live versions. I know the lyrics are quite innocent but thats part of its charm and she was quite young when she wrote it.

Definitely one of my favorite melodies, beautiful.

oh, I don't think Pretty Baby is innocent at all!  To me, it's  not a love song, it's an obsession song.  I have written about this elsewhere so I won't go in to it here.  I'm not a fan of the "radio version" it was fine the way it was!

hey good point, suppose the lyrics can certainly be interpreted that way, I mentioned this in my introduction, but that song was so written about me and this girl I knew coincidently around the time the song was released.

The production on Be Not Nobody album was very good but I agree with you regarding the radio version/UK album version, was so happy to find the demo version in a rare online music shop. I must do a search on the site for your post on it, would be interested to read your interpretation of it.

I do recall that.  I don't recall WHERE I posted my thing, but I will look as well and let you know if I find it!  The song can certainly be taken both ways. However, when she did a show in Rochester, NY 2002 she said something to the effect of everyone thinking it's a love song, but it's not (and I remember thinking, I KNEW THAT!)  Then the video shows her tying up the guy..

well I thought I did but the only thing I could find is in "meanings and notions behind the songs" under lyrics/sheet music section but I only mention it briefly..hmm

Just found your post on it.

I always saw it as loving someone but them not feeling the same way, so taking that a step further can definitely see the obsession interpretation.

Have to say I really really love that song Between The Lines, absolutely beautiful.

I agree. It's beautiful.

But this is the most touching music I've heard in my life yet.

wow that really is beautiful, I have it on repeat at the moment, thanks for that  :)

So reassuring that you still have artists like Vanessa and Sara out there who can put on a live performance like that, just a piano and vocals, beautiful.
