-
Yeah, I saw her on MTV2 as well
-
Ok, time for a change.

Sorry for the default in the title.
Her new cd, Happenstance, is amazing! She is like Fiona Apple and Norah Jones, with jazz piano and amazing vocals. she plays the piano and sings too!
Go buy her cd. trust me, its worth alllll of your money.

I am REALLY loving her song Reason Why which she played on The OC (Second Chance) a few weeks ago.
If you go to her website you can listen to a few of her songs including Reason Why which I recommend because its brilliant, I love its lyrics.

Thank you for the advice Katie  Reason Why really reminds me of Melissa
Tallon; I don't know quite how to compare them but Rachael's music rocks!
-
I didnt think to compare her to Melissa but you are right :D
Im so glad that you like the song Aaron, its lurvely!!!
-
I have some of her songs in my computer, Worn me Down is pretty cool.
-
she's one of my favorite artists!
i keep missing her every time she comes to LA though :( makes me mad!
"i want you" is my favorite song on Happenstance
-
I can't seem to find her cd. I think she sang a song in Prime, "I wish you love" and I'm totally in love with her voice right now.
-
Her first album is amazing, she was supposed to have another one coming out 07 but I haven't heard anything.
-
She just released a new EP and she said her album is on the way. :D
-
I kept telling myself I should get back to this thread and see if I can reply
after just one youtube session. I found another killer good track in "Quiet" (http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=tcSM0v9XcWA&NR=1)
; lovely composition, string arrangement and Rachael's remarkable voice!

Peace
Aaron
-
I love "Quiet"! It's such a beautiful song
-
I went chasing pics for a wallpaper or sig but there are so few pics online -
the best of what I could find is nothing more recent than an 05 RS shoot

Peace
Aaron
-
Yeah her website has very little information on it
-
I think it was RS who described Rachael as "the Queen of acoustic emo". I
just wondered if there's an "acoustic emo princess" I don't know about
Peace
Aaron
-
Lol however I would not consider her "acoustic emo" I always felt she had much more of a jazzy/blues style
-
anyone else love the new album?
"elephants" is so beautiful. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZJx0Y8J970

Oh, yes, the new album is staggering. Gorgeous does not even begin to describe it.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. And the fast rock songs are genius.
-
Elephants... Teeth Sinking Into Heart is incredible, perhaps the second best album of the year (behind Jenny Lewis' awesome album). The title track just breaks me and "Sunday Afternoon" is absolutely beautiful.
-
Im loving faster
-
I`ve been been listening a lot to sidedish friend and over and over
-
I apologize if there's already a thread, but oh my gosh she's amazing. Meet Me By the Water, Under My Skin, 1963, Reason Why, Be Be Your Love, Elephants, Sunday Afternoon, Duet (Ft. Ray LaMontagne), and more. She plays piano, if anyone's interested
-
Loves her! So good.
She has a new album in the works. She did the whole kickstarter/pledgemusic to get funds.
There have been a few insider making of videos, the new single is "Starlight," they posted the video and a list of her tour dates. Tour goes across the country and starts in October. I already got my tickets for SF!! :)

Rachael was on Cayamo last year. I didn't have a great camera and well we were in the ocean so it was a bit rocky ;) But it was very cool. She is awesome and very cool.

I really want to go to the one in St. Louis, but it's 21+ :( I'm sure it would be a small crowd and I'm thinking that she will stay afterward for autographs, pictures, etc, so I'm really disappointed. About her pledge music, I really want the vinyl, but I really can't afford it. If I don't get it though, I wouldn't be heartbroken. It would be neat, however to get Elephants... Teeth Sinking Into Heart on vinyl since it's 2 discs
-
And here's the video, for Starlight!! It's pretty cool and I love her voice!! So sexy. My friend calls her, Yummygata.

Yummygata haha nice pun. When I first heard "Starlight", it was completely different than expected, but in a good way. I like the video too. It's a nice difference from all the other music videos I've seen lately
-
Her new album is beautiful. It's out tomorrow (I already have it from Pledgemusic.com ) It's streaming now.
