Entertainment - Movies / TV / Books / couldn't wait 'til this weekend!
« on: December 09, 2004, 10:29:57 am »
I went and saw this last night.  It was great!  I love the addition of Whistlet's daughter, Abigail and King.  For those of you who have seen Van Wilder, they kept that character within King.  It was like seeing Van Wilder on acid.  He was buff in this movie and so was Jessica Beil.  She looks really great!

I do like this one better than the second, but it doesn't beat out the first.   Dean (adversary on the first) was a much better character than Parker Posey's character.  What was up with that hair?  She acted like a young spoiled brat.

I wish they explained the fact that King was once a vampire himself.  The preview on TV was already mentioning this, but no explanation.

Claire (the pregnant lady), was not on at all last night's episode.  All you do hear of her is a scream in the woods and it had to be her since Jack was gaining on Ethan's tracks.

I can do a recap if you would like.  There are also sites out there dedicated to this show and they recap each and every episode thoroughly.

It was a real good episode, a real tear jerker.

I don't watch the show but my friend was on a flight in 1st class yesterday with Evangelina Lilly or something or another of that show.

Wow, did she get a pic or autograph?

Entertainment - Movies / TV / Books / Blade Trinity

I know this movie is not out yet, but it will be showing tomorrow.  I can hardly wait to see this!

I wonder how they are going to explain Whistler's daughter?  It also has Ryan Reynolds and I think he's hilarious.  He was in a movie called Van Wilder.  I loved him in that movie.  Also he was in a tv show called "2 guys and a girl".  He was really funny in that one too.

Entertainment - Movies / TV / Books / Still haven't seen the director's cut
« on: December 07, 2004, 08:00:34 am »
I still want to see the director's cut, but I have seen the original.  I love this movie!  I've always liked movies that have an indie feel to it and the subject matter is definitely right up my alley.

Entertainment - Movies / TV / Books / Flash episode
« on: December 07, 2004, 07:54:08 am »
So far, my favorite episode this season is where they introduced Flash as a young teenager.

My least favorite is the 3 witches episode when Lana was possessed by her ancestor and it was by the tattoo on her back.

I hope the plot and writers do better than that.  Even the most recent one wasn't that good.  I still love this show, but Lost (on abc) is getting better.

I can't believe how good this show is getting!  Now there are other people on the island besides from the french woman.  Not to mention that one of them has been undercover playing as if he was one of the survivors.  Getting better each episode.

Smallville is getting really bad.  I have no idea who writes for that show, but the plot line is getting really cheesy.  I still watch it, but now I watch lost and tape Smallville instead.

Other Musicians / New album, will it ever be released?
« on: November 10, 2004, 12:12:14 pm »
I'm a big NIN fan!  I can't wait to hear the new album, if it ever gets released.  Trent is too busy doing music for video games or soundtracks, but please, please come out with some new stuff!  I'm wearing out my old NIN music.  I love "Perfect Drug" and the video is awesome.

Entertainment - Movies / TV / Books / Freak of the Week
« on: November 10, 2004, 08:31:57 am »
I love this show, but the first season was all about the Freak of the Week.  It was just repetative and got old.  The second season was better, but then Lana and Clark just needs to get together already!  That got kinda annoying.  The new season showed real potential with the arrival of Lois and Chloe being alive.  I was afraid they got rid of her character.  I was already upset about loosing Pete.

Tonight's episode, I hope will be a good one.  I just think the writing could be better, but I still like this show since it was approached a different way than any other Superman movie or show.

Entertainment - Movies / TV / Books / Please keep this show going!
« on: November 10, 2004, 07:48:03 am »
I was wondering about the 2nd season.  I can't believe it's going to be pushed back that far.  Hopefully, it will not get cancelled altogether.  I really enjoyed this show.

Entertainment - Movies / TV / Books / Love this show!
« on: November 10, 2004, 07:39:59 am »
I'm definitely hooked.  This was a pleasant surprise.  It's nice to see more shows besides from "reality" tv.  I can't stand them!  The only ones I like are the first season of MTV's The Real World and Osbournes.  I even watch some of The Surreal Life episodes becuase I just find it so funny!  The rest of the "reality" shows is just too ridiculous.  Next thing you know we'll have every job positions as a show.

Next on ABC, "I want to be the next Helpdesk Manager for Georgia Southern University".  It's nuts!

Anyway, Lost is a great show.  Can't wait for tonight's episode.  I usually tape this show while I watch Smallville.  Then watch it right after.  Smallville comes first, my favorite.

Other Musicians / No release date yet.
« on: November 10, 2004, 07:31:14 am »
No word on when the 2nd will be out.  They are done touring so all concentration on the album, I hope.  I know I'm ready for some new material.  There is a new dvd/cd that will be released on Nov. 23.  It will have a live concert and all the videos.

Other Musicians / Amy's show
« on: November 09, 2004, 08:21:34 am »
I'm really anxious what the 2nd album will sound like.  Since Evanescence was really Ben, Amy and David.  Now that Amy is the only one left from the original writing team, I don't think it will sound anything like it is now.  They may just release the "Origin" album and call it the 2nd album and no new material, but then we will never know what will happen.  The dynamics have been changed and it will no longer be the root of Evanescence.

Saw them live twice and it was awesome!

Live Shows / Great show!
« on: November 08, 2004, 06:53:40 am »
I can't believe my friend missed this show!  I did meet the lady that bought her ticket.  Darrell was really nice and she even gave me $5 that I needed to purchase her new CD and had a chance to meet Vanessa.  Thanks, Darrell!  I will "pay it forward" since you wouldn't let me pay you back.  I love it when there are still people out there that gives you hope for mankind and can be good and will still help out others.

The only thing that I was upset about was they wouldn't let us take a pic with her.  All she did was sign our booklets and that was it!  If I had know that I probably wouldn't have purchased her CD for $15.  I could have bought it at Best Buy for $10.  Anyway, it was still nice to "meet" her if you could even call it that.  She will never remember any of us.  She may remeber some, but not all of us.  It's hard when you achive that kind of success and still be looked upon as "normal".  Untouchable is more like it.

Anyway, overall it was a great show.  I never knew how talented she is on that piano.  Her voice was also great.  It's nice to know that she sounds as good live.  No lip synching going on!  She even mentioned that on the show.  Her voice did not waver one bit.  She looked great in her white dress and high heel black boots.  She said that she wanted to dress up a bit since she was inviting us to her living room.  It was more like a VHI storytellers concert as she mentioned.

Set list was already posted.  I tried to post whatever was left out, but I think I may still have missed some stuff.  I'll leave that for others.  The opening act was also good.  Christopher Jak was nice and cordial enough.  Got his signature and a pic w/ him.  He does favor the John Mayer and Jason Marz sound.  We'll see if he does achieve commercial success.
