Title: Yet another untitled piece by me
Post by: All I Ask2003 on December 11, 2004, 03:08:31 pm: I'm hoping to turn this one into a song, I just wrote the words in like 15 minutes...about 20 minutes ago :lol:
It's really personal, I won't say if it's about a boyfriend, friend, family member, etc. That is for me to know, and for everyone else to guess at :wink: *deep breath* OK, here goes...

I haven't lost my way
I'm just going in a different direction
I can't pretend that I just don't care
It's still so hard to let go of all of this
But there's nothing more left for me in this life
And I'm afraid my broken heart has nothing left to give you
You no longer hold that place in my heart

I'm not the girl you once loved
I've chosen to walk this cold path alone
And I don't smile the way I used to
Every laugh of mine is a little bit broken now
Interrupted with thinking of "what if"s
I'm not the girl you once loved

I don't know what to say
I'm just leaving you with what was ours when we were us
I can't pretend I'm not afraid
It's still not like me to be doing this
But there's no life in me I'm not ashamed of

I told my friends that one of the NESSAholics came up with the name for it :) And I'm really glad you like it, thanks. I was nervous about posting it because it's the first thing I've written with so much of me put into it in awhile.
