lol.  depends on whos firewall, where you are, what kind of firewall etc etc etc.  We need more info than that.

lol well i dont know nething about it but i just wanted to disconnect it cuz it wont let me use direct connection on aim.  :)  haha

Yeah but...... if shes using broadband then it's likely the firewall is in her house.  If shes not, then it's likely the firewall is on the other side of the AIM connection.

actually, i think the true question is...

how do you know if you have a firewall or not?

edit: could just be a router or something getting in the way if it's cable.

what is connected to the cable modem?  is it connected directly to the PC via ethernet, or is there some other little square type box in between? :)

If you have Norton Antivirus running then there's a big chance you also have Norton Firewall.
