I'm just really hoping that Ameriteen isn't on it because I've recorded a version and am hoping to get permission to release it with/on my next CD.

Hopefully there'll be 12 + songs and not just 10 again, or has she said differently?

Nah, she hasn't mentioned anything in terms of album length. It's all speculation at this point. We won't know until we get an official track list.

I'm curious as to whether or not we'll get another cover song this time around. Be Not Nobody had Paint It Black and the international version of Harmonium had Where The Streets Have No Name. Sooo, I wonder if a cover song will end up on the US release or as a bonus song on the international release like last time.

I really dislike how she limits the length of tracks on her records. Like, with Harmonium she stated that she really wanted a record with only 10 songs, and luckily we got The Wreckage as a bonus track. And I understand it's her art and she can do as she pleases with it, but... wtf! I'd definately like to see more than 10 or 11 tracks on this album, especially because we've already heard half of the songs on it.

I know what you mean since we have already heard so many of those songs its not oging to be the same when you pop in the cd for the first time and listn to it ... you technalcally already have heard some of it. I just hope she adds more than 10 or 11 songs why not 12 or 13? thats not bad oh well either way its going to be rad to haver th new cd when it comes out.

Haha, I'd feel bad if Vanessa actually snoops around here every once in a great while, 'cuz if she sees this she'd probably be all, "NOTHING EVER PLEASES THESE GUYS. GOD." Hahaha.

as much as I like vanessa's old stuff like swindler and superhero and all those tracks, i really don't think she should put them on the album. I really think she should move forward as an artist and simply look to the future musically. But they still are really fun to catch at live shows  :wink:

if spring street and wave goodbye are on the album, i'm going to be very upset.

and i don't want swindler on the album.. we have a studio version of it. now morning sting, that would be cool, because we don't have one. but i want new songs.. songs that we haven't heard before, on the album. i like the fact that the single is a song that we've never heard before. it's cool as shit.

I read somewhere once (don't remember where) that artists are usually paid for albums with 11 tracks.
Any additional track being a "bonus" the artist gives to the fans.
I don't know how true this statement is though.

I definately feel the same way! I would love more songs than the "usual" 11. I agree that part of this is because we have heard about half of them already but I also think it is ironic cause we all beg to hear these songs before they are released. haha! I guess it is our own fault for that one

I think there will be more than the usual 11. Irv Gotti is putting a lot of money into this album. I'm sure he's made her do more than what she usually does for an album. Or at least... hopefully... considering Beyonce's latest album with a total of 10 songs.

Let's hope she doesn't get as many as Christina A. who gets like 21, which affects the quality of the music I think.

Two people from nessaholics. ordinaryday (Samantha) and amberbeads are the only people in here who have heard them I think....Otherwise I am sure V, SJ, Irv, Linda Perry, etc have heard them too. Especially since Linda produced them.
