Hopefully its a much needed update of the software and not just a crashed server or something.

Just curious, but are any other fullerine websites down?  That would give us hints on if

a) its a crash or just an update (other fullerine sites would be impacted for this) or
b) its a major revamp of the website and they are putting in something else

Yes, thats the guy I was refering to.

And BTW, they still run the original marathon route today, although on better roads.  

And do a google search on "marathon deaths" and you can see that its still not the safest sport out there.  If you go in untrained (as most of us are), you can severely hurt or kill yourself.  My point stands, simply finishing a marathon is a huge milestone in and of itself.  And V finished closer to the front of the pack than the back, which says something too.

FYI, there were 2733 women age 20-29 in the marathon, and she placed 360 in that field.  She kicked some ass.

YES.

In a word, ANY marathon finish is good.  Remember, this is a race that the first guy who ever did it DIED at the finish.

Unless you've trained, the average person would never finish one either.

Running a marathon isn't about winning unless you are likely born in Kenya and raised from a kid to win these.  Simply finishing them is the goal, and she placed pretty well in the pack.

Hehe... I like how the article calls it a "scathing attack".

Vanessa said pretty much the same thing here in Atlanta when introducing Private Radio, and it was obviously ment as a joke.

Sorry, deserved or not, Ashlee is now the face of lip syncing and will wear that title alongside Milli Vanilli for the rest of her life.  

Perhaps if she hadn't so obviously lied immediately after (my band started playing the wrong song) it wouldn't have stuck as much.  But its obvious from later comments (acid reflux) that yes she did intend to lip sync.

Apparently a bunch of Weezer fans are invading the o-board currently.  I went to the weezer website and it appears they just changed forum software (something the o-board really needs!) which prompted the invasion.

Not certain why you can't see it.  I've tried from several computers without trouble testing.  

Someone else will have to download it and host it.  (needs some editing too - its just a capture)

I don't have bandwidth to host something that size elsewhere.

I have it recorded.

They played a segment of the White Houses video, broke for commercials, then came back and V played White Houses.  

Unfortunately they broke for commercial before she finished playing.

Then they had a brief Q/A session (nothing new) that seemed to make V uncomfortable since he immediately asked about Steven Jenkins.

V then played A Thousand Miles, but again they cut away to commercials before she finished.

Live Shows / 3/10/2005: Exit/In - Nashville, TN (review)

It was the first official successful performance of Private Radio because she said last night was pure disaster!

I wouldn't classify it as a disaster... if she hadn't stopped the song herself I bet most folks in the audience wouldn't even have known of the error.

But the funny part was she said two curses and then stopped the song dead in her tracks to get it fixed, then backtracked and played it again.

While on the one hand hearing the song perfect is nice, I actually prefer seeing such mistakes on stage because it individualized the show for me and her comments and reactions were funny.

Glad all of you enjoyed the Nashville show.  Since its only 4 hours away, I was seriously tempted to drive up and listen to her again.

Yes there was some merchandise.

Along with the CDs, there was a shirt and sweatshirt with Vanessa Carlton Harmonium on them in the style of the CD Cover.  Another shirt with a picture (silhouette style) of a grand piano and Vanessa lounging on the chair, ala the cover as well, but reversed direction.

Yeah, she was wearing a nice black dress and looked fabulous.

Wish the quality of the pics was better, but I was in the back of the room, and my digital camera didn't really like the low lighting.
