I really miss my dog, he died in August, and then I moved out, so I have no time to own a dog. But I want one!!

yeeeeep...

I have 2 dogs...max and jack...

Max is a 4 year old black lab who is the sweetest lovable boy ever...

Jack is a 5 month old puppy that we got because our other dog Aries who was a German Sheppard/Collie died  and Max was very depressed so the vet told us to get another dog. Jack is a English Springer Spaniel that is so clingy to me. I love it. lol

i have a dog... he's a mutt and we don't know what he's mixed with but we know he's deffinatley part Sheltie and i LOVE him to death!!!

I have a dog, his name's Dumbass. I changed it last September when he was pissing me off. He's a black lab. *hates the phrase "lab" but doesn't actually know how to spell the full name so is going to leave it at that*

yes I have four.

erm...my dog is a chihuahua mixed with something else...lol

people call him a weiner dog, but he does not look like one!  8O

i have a buff (color not build, haha) miniture cocker spaniel named Muffy! She's my girl, and I love her so much! I've had her since I was 5 years old! I'm 18 now... so you can guess I've grown pretty attached to her!  :)

and how could you choose "none of the above"? i don't see another option, haha. either you have one and you like it or dont, or you dont have one and you want one or dont.

i'm happy to see all the people have said either they have one and love it, or dont have one but want one! yay dog lovers!  :D

Dogs and "pet dogs" are different.

Ownership of and care giving/living with a dog is different.

I'm the one who voted, "yes, but against my will."  I like dogs but the three my roommate has drives me nuts.  They are really not well disiplined.   Dogs need to be disiplined otherwise they try to lead or take charge of the pack  --meaning you.

One of the differences between dogs and cats is, dogs give you positive attention before you take care of them, where cats give you positive attention after you take care of them.  A part of taking care of dogs is putting them in there proper place within the pack  --especially if they were not well displined or in an enviroment, when puppies, which fits within your and/or a normal environment.  That is true with all pets, but more so for dogs.  On the other hand I've found with cats I've had in the past, just need to be shown they depend on you in the slightest way and they adore you, after you take care of them......

And so is the way I think.

I have 3 dogs (one died).  Chip (the one that died) is 14 now.  Dixie is 10, and Colby is 2.
