More Than This
"Words can't describe what we witnessed tonight" (Nicole)
All I can do is agree with the above statement.
V rocked out Joe's Pub and we were right on the front to enjoy it!
I was freezing my butt off outside since 4 and no one showed up until like 5.30 (doors opened at 6) = LAME!
The good thing was I got to see Irv, Mark and most of V's people.
Then Vanessa arrived followed by...a camera! I was later told by Irv (who disappeared inside btw, IRV WHERE THE HECK WERE YOU?!) that it was for a DVD.
She messed up more than usual though (videos later).
But we got to meet her afterwards (and so did A LOT of people).
Ta-da! (I'll edit this later cause I don't feel like writing more right now)
VANESSA WE LOVE YOUUUU! :D
edit: added full names of the songs (looks better!). I still need to upload pics, will do that when I'm home after all because I've got quite a busy schedule ahead of me here in NYC.
-
I keep wondering why she isn't playing Spring Street oh well :-/
glad to know you had fun!
-
Cool, more stuff for the DVD!
Thanks for the review! :)

I've been wondering the same....
So does this mean they will copy and paste the best song for the dvd? Did they interview people there for the DVD too?
-
Spring Street is kind of like Private Radio from Harmonium, they'd have to do some clever editing to get it to sound anywhere like the album version. That's probably something they're not even bothering looking into at this point.
-
I just got back from the show and all I have to say is that Vanessa Carlton is a national treasure.
-
Thanks for the review!
This DVD sounds exciting.

great show!
thanks for coming out! :-)

The show was great. First time I've seen Vanessa live and Her voice sounds so much better in person than you might think from watching all the youtube live videos. And however beautiful She looks in pictures, She is absolutely GORGEOUS in person.
Even got a chance to talk to Her Dad inside the Pub after the show !! Thanked him for doing such a good job nurturing the incredible talent that is Vanessa...
-
^ that's sweet. what did he say?

^ that's sweet. what did he say?
Actually he said that he thought her talent might be more appreciated in Europe !!

I agree.
She would do so well if she was promoted right over here in the UK.

Anti-coherent
Pop sensation Vanessa Carlton is the most recent in a long line of celebs to use the "antibiotics" excuse made famous by avid Hasselhoff. A tired and emotional Carlton preformed at Joe's Pub on Tuesday night and "was all over the place," according to one ticket holder. "She was babbling incoherently and blaming it on antibiotics. She forgot her song lyrics several times and even stopped singing completely during one song." A re for the 27-year-old starlet, most famous for her hit "A Thousand Miles," could not be reached."

Anyone have a recording?
-
I have 3 songs but won't be able to post them until I'm home, which is Thursday. (the wireless connection here is way too unstable to post an mp3)

Did you ever get to post them. Ghisy?
-
No, sorry, I've been sick since I got home.
Since I'm getting better, I will do that later this week.
