They need to announce something, and fast.

And about Irv and his label. His other artists, like Ja Rule haven't had a "comeback" either. I saw that he has a single out. And the same with Ashanti. But there isn't much buzz around them either. I really hope they catch on, cause that will mean Vanessa has a chance as well.

She sure made a risk signing with a hip-hop label.

llyod banks
has done okay, i think. but the rest have flopped too, so it's definitley something with the label as opposed to the artists material.

i think ashanti will have a good comeback. her new song is hot and people are still checking for her. i don't think Irv will be behind promoting her project though, even though she's on his label because they don't have anything to do with eachother after she wasn't loyal to him when the money laundering fiasco came about. i think she'll be getting help from somewhere else in that department.

either way, i'm crossing everything for a comeback for V.

Lloyd banks is a rapper on g-unit records. The artist you are referring to is simply Lloyd. He is an rnb singer from New Orleans.

Just remember that Irv is new to Vanessa's genre. A lot of his connections  are hip hop and r&b oriented, so he cant exactly tell urban djs to throw on this hands on me record, if you know what I mean. At this point in time, heroes and thieves looks like a failed attempt at something new by Irv. He needs to get his act together and learn how to do things differently if he wants to succeed (in general). If you are unsure on exactly how he gets a record broken in the industry watch these videos http://www.artistshousemusic.org/videos/irv+gotti

Is this show doing well at all?

I'm under the impression it's bombed, because I never hear about it.

It's doing very well. Exceeding expectations in fact. Season Two is already confirmed.

If you go to www.gotti.vh1.com and look at the extras for episode 3, you'll find some footage with Vanessa in it.

Go to this thread http://allhiphop.com/forums/thread/18799713.aspx

You might want to jump in there and show some support for V, make some suggestions to the thread starter etc. Allhiphop.com is one of the biggest hip hop sites around, it would be a good chance to get her some exposure. There are already some positive comments so let's keep it going.

Sooo, being a new member of the record label we can all assume that Vanessa's interacted and has been around her fellow label mates at some point or another.

And Ja Rule was arrested just last night for speeding and was found to be carrying a .40-calibur gun with him.

So, lol. Vanessa's hanging around a bunch of gun carrying thugs it seems. I can't help but feel this reflects badly on the Inc especially with the incident that happened recently involving another rapper, Remy Ma, who was arrested for attempted murder. You'd think other rappers would lay low for awhile and not perpetuate any more stereotypical negativity concerning their community.

What does Ja Rule, a rich music artist, need a stupid a gun for.

So I just can't help but doubt Vanessa's decision by embracing this new "family" of hers. I dunno. Irv is awesome and all, but with his past history and now this stupid shit involving a label member, c'mon, what the hell.

Well you'd have to understand the environment Ja comes from. Ja carries a gun because there are crazy people out there. Especially in the hip hop world where you have ignorant fans that just might take that fake death certificate in 50 cent's album booklet seriously. You have to understand, a rapper like Rule, isn't one of these fabricated people that we see on tv. He actually goes into the neighborhoods where hes from, no green screen. Out there, it's better to be safe than sorry.

yall dont need to worry. vanessa has the backing of a major label and irv is 100% behind her. the push for this album/single will be bigger than any of her previous releases.

Other Musicians / Is there anyone else you are feelin on The Inc ?

yeh i had a feeling thunderkatz and ashanti would be like the only ones you thought were cool. lol, doesnt matter though, this crowd is very different to the hip hop one so its to be expected. its a beautiful thing though, when we can break down barriers like this. thats what its all about, unity. hip hops been facing this crisis for a long time, and especially when 50 cent came into the picture. theres not enough love for the music and unity amongst us. even with other genres, youll find people who are real dogmatic and will hate on anything outside of their genre. its great to see people coming together and mixing, theres so much to be accomplished from it.

I know most of you have heard the song M.A.K.E.L.O.V.E.T.O.M.E. by Channel 7 aka 7 Aurelius and Vanessa Carlton. Well, the man behind that song has just launched his online radio station/website www.channel7fm.com

You can create your own profile, upload pics and interact with other members ala myspace. It only just launched on the 7.7.07 so we need members. Some of you may have been put off by 7's initial record, but I urge you to check it out, each one of his songs has a different flavor and the radio station has some great songs on there. Show your support and sign up.

I apologize for any trouble you might have navigating the site,  all the bugs are still being worked out so be patient.

Thanks, HITMAN.

The Irv Gotti Project is still being filmed and there's still no official date for when it will air. What is is happening is, the show will correspond with the label's artists. For example: The first few episodes may focus on Gotti's work with Channel 7 or Ja Rule, and it will show us how they made their albums and the processes put into making their work. Then a Channel 7 or Ja Rule album or whoever is being shown on the show, will drop their album. It's good promotion and makes the viewers feel they were a part of it. Not to mention it creates excitement, almost like a countdown for when an album is released. You can expect the same with Vanessa in regards to the show. They WILL be showing her so make sure you tune into the show when it finally comes on.

Cheers, HITMAN
