at my school it's "cool" to like emo and underground bands. hip-hop and pop aren't necessarily looked down upon, but i know people always need to have little-known "indie" artists as their myspace songs so they show off their "good taste." i personally like a lot of that music, so i don't really have a problem with it, i've just noticed it a lot.

my best friend danced at the same studio as neil (david de marie) and has actually danced with him.. i am SO jealous. anyway.. everyone at that studio is voting for him like crazy, my friend voted for him 546 times. she needs a life. but he IS talented.. and beautiful.

sooo I finally got to see them live tonight, after waiting almost 2 years. They were absolutely amazing! I was extremely impressed with their live performance. Not to mention they jokingly did a cover of "Dance Like This" by Shakira and it was absolutely hilarious. Mae opened for them and I loved them as well (of course, they're my favorite band), though it was my... 5th time seeing them live. They played some new songs so that was cool. The Fray did as well. Great show. Ok Go also played, don't really care for them too much.
i saw them last night too.. and yeah, i loved when they did "hips don't lie," that was probably my favorite part of their performance. the drummer ben was so funny. i still can't really believe they're headlining though.. i remember being really excited about them being the free download of the week like a year ago on itunes. haha. but my favorite part of the night was meeting mae for the first time.. they're so nice. i wish they could have played longer though.. i really thought ok go should have played before them. but anyway, the fray was fantastic, i'd definitely go see another one of their shows this summer.

great verse.. but the pup line is just weird and doesn't fit to me. that's basically the same for the other verses.
i really don't want to complain. because i am excited about having a new song. it's just going to take some time for me to get used to it i guess..
thank you.. i think i like it better than the clip, but it's going to take some getting used to and i don't know how non-nessaholics will react.. i don't know. and about the weird lines.. i don't like the stevie line either, it's really weird to me and kind of cheesy. but i don't want to judge too quickly, and i have to trust vanessa..

maybe that's why i don't like it so much? well i don't know if i don't like it, it just seems like a very different song for vanessa.. it sounds a lot like the weepies, you can definitely notice that influence.

i don't want to judge to quickly but.. am i the only one not thrilled with "nolita fairytale" ? i think it can grow on me, but i really don't know how well it will do as a single.. not to be debbie downer or anything (waaah waaah). i trust vanessa but i kind of feel HOM would make a better single to start off with.. :|
