Ha Ha, that's true.
Unsweetened tea is nasty.

I like the south because there is Florida there :-)

lol well i wouldn't add grits on my list of stuff I like about the south (like i don't like BBQ, and I live in the south, its weird)...
the southern belle's are really great, except the ones in my school, and whole lot of them down here...
Although Sarah is in Alabama, and she is great...

I love the south.... of Europe, which is where I live :P
-
The south is great because it lets me get away with using hick terms such as "howdy" and "yeehaw"

you say yeehaw, we will still look at you funny, depending on how loud you say it lol.
-
ha, I dont' say yeehaw normally, only to mock the very fact that I"m in Oklahoma...so don't misunderstand there, I'm not hick, I only like to mock their being here :D
-
You better not be making fun of the south! Im a southern boy at heart, and I might take offense.
The great thing about the south is that people really ARE nicer here.
Except maybe in Tenn. There are mean people in tenn and they have the worst traffic ever!

are you talking about me? I live in the south.
-
The great thing about the south is that people really ARE nicer here.
But you have to admit though we have our share of nicer people we have quite an abundance of the "ignorantly mean" people (i.e. the klan) at the same time

I absolutely love the south! I have family in North Carolina and we go there at least twice a yaer. I love the south because accents are hot, the waether is so nice, the people are wicked nice, BLACKENED CATFISH AND HUSH PUPPIES not to mention the cracker barrell. I know we have them in the North too but it just isn't the same unless you're in Dixie. I love the architecture of plantation homes too with the big columns and ballrooms and sweeping staircases. I'd love to live in North Carolina for a while, UNC has an awesome grad progrm i'm looking into.

-
loves the south especially texas cuz almost everyone has pools... and they have grrrrrreat food:) mm mm mmm
-
cause a good percentage of my friends live in the south, and most are in Georgia!

I've lived all over the South all my life. This is the fourth different state for me. And for your information, I love Tennessee traffic! 77 is the minimum speed on Interstates, and for the most part, people know what the lefter lanes are for.
But my two reasons: 1. They're not so uptight about everything. 2. The food (including sweet tea at restaurants!)

I like the South. South Bronx, that is.
Talk about GRIT!

ummmm
hey i live in tennessee and the people here are SOOOO nice, i dunno if ur saying most are mean or what, but u said, there are mean people in tennessee, well, there are mean people everwhere so i dont understand why u would specifically point out tennesee
-
Sarah,
I would specifically point out Tenn because i've been to a LOT of places.. big cities, small cities, BFE... whatever... and Nashville Tenn is the MOST unpleasant town I have EVER been in. People there are cranky, unfriendly and the traffic is horrible. Not to mention Memphis, which is the armpit of the south. Are there nice places in Tenn? Yes. I like Chatanooooooooooga. I like pretty much all of the little mountain towns. But I hate Nashville.

hmm
oh well, thats too bad because ive lived here for 2 years and ive met the nicest people ever out of all the people ive met and ive lived in 3 countries, actually 3 continents, so i know about different people and the south really does have amazingly friendly and genuine people
-
southern hospitality rocks!
hey sarah welcome over
Mike

I went to the south for like six months when I was like two. Tennesee. Don't remember much. I'm scared to go back though because people say they think differently and might eat you or something weird like that.
How do you think their food taste so good? :P

When I use to talk to Sarah on the phone she would always say I had an accent and talk weird, but i live in the NY area so everythign is like dowg, and cowfee, wadda, get what i'm saying?
