I just noticed the date. the 5-year anniversary of BnN. Who would have thought that day at TRL and Virgin Megastore would impact my life this much? I wish more fans from back then were still around. oh well. Who needs em? Ha. Now I just got sooo much more excited for the new album! eeeeeeeeee
-
5 years........... wow....
:D
this requires me to listen to Be not Nobody asap!
-

So that means I'm not enough for you? ROFL
j/k Nicole! ;)
A bunch of us are still around, I think it's pretty amazing after 5 years.
Oh and happy anniversary BnN!! Wow, 5 years already...
-
Some of us are still here. About 5 years for me, too. I tend to be a fan that, once I'm in, I stay in, unless said artist makes an extreme left turn(think Xtina, not that I was a huge fan).

5 years of being a fan! I think there are alot of die hard fans for 5 years after. Before VC if you told me I'd be a fan of some musical chick, or any one else for that matter, I'd just dismiss you as dead wrong and talking nonsense.
-
has it really been that long half a decade nice. = ]
-
So true! Five years of being a fan now.....:) That's a long fucking time. And to think, we've got another album on the way!!! I love Vanessa WHOOHOO
-
Wow, I think it's great some of you have been fans of Vanessa for so long... I didn't become a fan until late 2005. Happy Anniversary Be Not Nobody! :D
-
:happybirthday: Be Not Nobody!!
lol
wow that's intense... 5 years? really?? I was a fan the instant I heard ATM and then I was an addict when I saw her open for TEB and the Goo Goo Dolls. She's unbelievable... I'm so pumped for this new album. Withdrawal has been harsh. :spin:

Oh wow... 5 years already?! I totally remember getting the album that day and being SUPER excited!
-
Such a long time ago. You are right though, she has made a huge impact on all of our lives. I know she has definitely got my heart and devotion forever.

Me too. I was so hooked on atm & twilight at the time, that when I finally got the album I must've listened to it a million times. There was just something about her music that inspired me more than any other artist ive listened to besides my favorite group. And shes part of the reason why im into piano driven artists now.
I havent listened to that cd in ages though.. probably a couple years at least. Its sad because she used to be my role model & now I moved on to someone else. I just come here for the other artists & entertainment section. I miss the good ol days, I hardly see any old members besides gishy, gina, b and holly once in a while  hopefully her new album will make me a fan again *hides before people throw rocks at me* sorry its late... im feeling sentimental lol

I can't believe it has been half a decade already. It has definitely been good times, though. :)
-

I've been around most of those 5 years...just havent been active recently...college made me busy! lol...Good to see so many people still though.
-
5 years...
It brings beautiful memories back in my mind... <3
-
I just got back from NYC yesterday and couldn't help but think of that day 5 years ago on MTV and at VMS. Good times indeed. So crazy it's been this long.
-
Wow, 5 years!
I remember being in 8th grade and begging my mom to pick me up the cd on the release date. I didn't even know why I wanted it (I never have been a cd person), but I insisted on it. Good choice by me.
I can't believe so much time has passed!
-
Reunion? 8)
-
Manda, that'd be pretty cool.
I suggest Paris for the reunion! ROFL
-
lol I'm out then! I can't make that. Something where I won't be kicked out for not being 21...yet.
-
hah, cool.
-
Wow.
I remember when i first heard that CD as an 11 year old.
Now today...It brings me back, and yet its a new experience each time.
Feels like being baptised.
I dunno. thats a very sacred allusion, but that's pretty much what it feels like.
5 years...

I joined the O-Board either in August or September of '02. It's weird to think that I've been dedicated to an artist for almost five years. Considering how much my taste in music has grown and how much I've changed in the past five years, it's kinda weird/cool knowing that Vanessa has been constant. I guess she was the first truly good singer/aritst I ever liked.
-
It's all kinds of insane to me that I've been a fan for this long. V is one of the only artists that I can honestly say I've loved for that long. I'm still hooked, what can I say? But wow, 5 years. It hardly seems possible. If only it were like the old days, but nothing stays the same, but I surely miss it. Happy belated anniversary to BnN :D I'm so overly anxious for the new album!
-
Well, it may be rare, but it's certainly imaginable. Five years ago, I really loved Avril Lavigne's voice and enjoyed listening to her latest album, and today I still do. I really like how much Avril hasn't changed the root of her sound. She's still the same artist to me. Vanessa Carlton has done some venturing, but even though she has taken lots more freedom lately, she still seems like the same artist she's always been, too. Some artists, though, do something completely revolutionary their second or third time out, and sometimes it comepletely alienates me as a listener and possible fan.
-
I haven't been on here in a long time, and I'm completely out of the loop all the time, but I'm still most definitely a fan. I just figured I would check out whats been going on with VC and now I am very excited for her new songs. I haven't seen her live since '04 so the new stuff will really be very new for me.
I'm seriously loving "The One" right now.
Cannot believe its been 5 years.
thats sooooo crazy!!
