She's performing on some show with some chick. I think it's one of those 'American Idol' type shows in another country.

Why is she not playing the music live, but she's singing it live? Aren't they allowed to have live bands on the show?

I think the duet was pretty good actually.

Yeah, it totally sounds like the instruments are just on stage for show. The only thing live about this performance is Vanessa and the other woman singing.
