I'm definatly going to try to go to that one, it kinda falls on the week of my daughters b-days (13th and 17th)(dates not age) so we may have a party bu i'll see.

The venue web site says it's sold out already... maybe they're not on sale yet or something, but when you click to buy tickets it says sold out.
Did it really sell out already?

Called the venue and was told that there are lots of tickets available but they are all on hold by the label...

Don't worry.
About 2 years ago, there were a bunch of us sitting at all the "Reserved For Interscope Records" seats there.

i just called any they said the show is sold out. Tickets went on sale at noon. i told the lady that it said it was sold out before that. i don't think she know what she is talking about.

Oh man, Thanksgiving break starts the day after that show so perhaps I'll leave on Tuesday if I can and I'll go to the show! That'd be awesome.

I really don't think it's actually sold out. We should call every day or two to see if the label released the tickets yet.

The fact the label is holding all of these tickets almost makes me think they might be using this event as a radio show.

i'm having a major heart attack. i haven't been able to get online all day until now and the first thing i did was check for her tour dates because that all i've been fucking checking for for weeks and i see nyc is sold out??? did ANYONE here get tickets or did they never really go onsale? seriously, i am crying right now. there is no way i'm not going to this. i'm so upset right now ahhhh. :(

it's always like this in NY
either she is playing an 'intimate' show and we can't get tickets or she is in a bigger venue playing for some cause and we have to sit through 15 other artists that we don't care about to hear two songs

i have a feeling they are going to release the tickets at a later date...the public did not get a chance to purchase them. if anyone remembers the joe's pub show that was suppose to hold many executive seats, they didn't even show up!

Well, she did do that little get-together at Sony in 2003 for Pleased To Meet You. It's a shame that the place closed down last month.
It blows if all these seats go to industry, but this is how the game is played.

still nothing?? i've been calling them all day. i'm living in a car following the hanson tour and it's annoying that i keep making my friends pull over so that i can find a wireless connection to keep checking for this crap. soooooooo annoying. i just need ONE fucking ticket. i'm going insaneeeeeeeeee. if anyone can get tickets please buy one for me and i swear to god i will paypal you the money 2 seconds later or even beforehand.

oh, and p.s. - i made a dinner reservation this morning even though i don't have a ticket, because i'm optimistic about getting one... and the guy said i was one of the last people to make a reservation. i made it for 2 people even though i am most likely going alone, just in case one of my friends on here would like to sit with me. i did this because people without reservations have to sit in the back. yuck.

Our best bet for this one would be to try to buy tickets at the venue itself around 3 pm the day of the show.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to even do that. I work until 4 that day and then have a 2 hour drive to get to NYC (live in PA) I guess I'll have to give up on this one.

If anyone can get their hands on an extra ticket or two, I'd be willing to pay a little extra for them (but please keep in mind, I work at wal-mart - meaning, sucky pay!)
I tend to miss out on a lot of ticket sales because I'm always at work when they go on sale!

I really hope Vanessa and co. announce an extra NY date. How can the show be already sold out when tickets didn't even officially go on sale? And just how many tickets were released? Ten? Totally unacceptable. I'm not a big fan of Joe's Pub as a concert venue so I don't really mind not going to this show (but if tickets suddenly become available, I'll try to buy one, heh).

The problem I have is that these tickets don't get announced like "on sale Friday at 10AM", so some of us never have even a ghost of a chance. It's so random. For me, it's simply not possible to check all the sites incessantly, so I'll always be SOL.

I personally think it's so wrong when people snatch up all the tickets and sell them for triple (or more) their face value on ebay or other sites. I, like probably many of Vanessa's fans, just can't spend that much on one ticket. I have bills!

You'd be better to just fly to another location and watch a show there; at least you could get away for a while and have the added benefit of travel and a fresh environment.

True, but then I'm incurring massive travel expenses; it's robbing Peter to pay Paul, as the saying goes. I'm in NYC every day during the week, so it's not so bad if she plays somewhere in the village or something.

It's amazing that Vanessa doesn't play more small NYC shows. I mean, she lives here. My friends just saw her hanging out at a bar on Sunday. A few more small NYC shows would be nice. She could walk to the venues.
