Five are few
My skies are blue
The days I spent with you
Five are few
The streets are new
The places I walked through

Home at night to where you are
Suddenly, I see
That perfect, sunny, rosy skies
Are always cloudy in your eyes

There's always a change
From what you say
To what your fingers do
And touch me in a simple way
That sends your words askew
If I could arrange
For you to say
The words that are your truth
And come to light
And carry through
We'd finally make this right

Five are few
Your words renew
The troubles we talked through
Five are few
And I re-captured you
Your scabs torn up anew

That fear, in all its mystery
