Yeah, I read somewhere (can't remember where) that she wanted to... 'expand' her instrumental musical talent so she started working on guitar.
So yes, I would quite believe that she is able to play guitar.

How does a guitar played by a woman sound different to a guitar played by a man, may I ask? It depends on skill, talent, feel, style, gear, etc., all of which have nothing to do with the gender of the musician....

this is a really good topic that I question most of the time. it seems (to me) that men have a different "sound" than women in music if they're in the same genre/instrument. Maybe i'm just hearing things... lol

oh god some people need to calm themselves when someone makes a statement they don't agree with. did medic say he thinks girls who play guitar suck? NO he didnt. he said that he isn't a fan. i don't see what the big deal is.
