yeah over here at school its like there are 4 kids and than the teacher. 3 drive and one watches. but as we get closer to the end of the year less kids go in the car and you spend like a whole period in the car just going random places and there is a highway close by so thats like part of the final going on the highway.

I still think about the days when I first started to drive. Wow.
At the time my ex had a friend who had family that worked at the DMV so they let him have ALL the tests they give out with all the Q's and A's. I had already studied the handbook for a month, it was glued to my eyeballs. But the tests really helped, there are some very tricky questions. After I passed that, I had to pay to have someone teach me. The man was in his late 20's, he was late and he did not have much patience. The thing that bugged me the most was that he kept talking about his personal life, almost whining, his ex fiancée was "playing games" with him and they had a child together, about 2 years old. Thats all he would talk about for four straight days. I was SO happy not to be driving after that. Then my dad and my cousins helped me by taking me out driving. The day of my test, my dad paid for another lesson and they even took me on the exact driving route. It was great, everything he asked and showed me, was exact to what was asked/expected of me during the test. I could have had a better experience, but when I think about it now it just makes me laugh.

Wow, well, nothing works out exactly the way we want it to, I guess. But it's not like we can completely control it.
I still think it's important to remember our 'firsts'.
Our first time doing an activity, first time driving, etc.
Even though I haven't had the 'first' of driving, I am VERY excited for it.

I think I'll never forget my driving lessons! It was quite horrible! I had an old instructor ( a female one) and she was horrible! always criticizing ur way to drive, people outside 8O ...and then, when I finished the lesson (at last) she told me: So, it was good!
Despering she was! Fortunately, some weeks later I had  another one, a younger!
And it was really better ! phew!
And now I can say that finally, it's good to drive !

I never got to practice.  Didn't get my permit till I was almost 16, and still never got to drive much till I was half-past 18, and that hurt because I had to learn the hard way, by myself.  Totalled one car twice that year, as a matter of fact.  I've got over 200 thousand miles experience by now, though. 8)

The best part of the process is actually puting all the theory into practice. I
failed my first prcatical and had to re-schedule the test. At around AU$600
including the practical tuition I took over 5 weeks, obtaining a licence isn't
cheap, so a successful result at the first attempt would have felt better

I got my licence on a Thursday, the following day was a 'black Friday' and
my Mom is superstitious so she didn't let me drive lol. How cool is that? 8)

Peace

Aaron

I'm learning to drive right now too, I'm hopefully getting my provisional liscense on my birthday.

It's not a big deal to me at all, I only want to because I need to.

My dad taught how to drive since I was 8 (yes, eight...) my grandpa has this big property where I could drive without crashing into anything, so it was very easy for me to learn :D

unfortunately, he wouldn't let me take the car outside the property until I was 14/15, but I still had a great time xD driving around like I was a mental patient with a car
