Hands down, winning me over in the auditions, I was looking around to find any of his previous work.
The kid at one point had "vocal paralysis" so he's got this sort of underdog story for AI. You'd never know from hearing him (his audition: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RRZps_AEMpU )
So, if you go to his (fan) myspace, you can hear his cover of "A Thousand Miles."

wow, not bad at all. i would love to hear someone good like him sing that on the show. that chick who sang it was crazy.
-
sounds like a moron when he speaks. has nothing to do with paralyzed vocals. he sings very nicely though.

i liked him..hes one of my favorites. i liked how they allowed them to play the piano, i hope they do that for performances

They did that for Canadian Idol last year, and this year too. People were allowed to audition with instruments, as long as they were able to play and sing at the same time.
I remember when Kelly Clarkson was mentoring the contestants last year and she was so surprised and excited that they were allowed to play instruments. She said that during her season, the producers or whoever basically told them to stay away from them, haha.
It's about time, I guess.

ya...he is def. one o my favs....can anyone get audio fr itt?
-
I might be able to, if you want. But I need to remember that darned website that I have an account on, lol. It's a file sharing website, that someone led me to.
Yeah, I really liked him too.

He's made the top 24, so maybe he'll end up singing ATM. That'd be an interesting choice, but if he's previously sung it and is pretty comfortable with it, then I'd love it!

I agree, it's about time they're judged too by their ability to play instruments. So it's not purely to sing...
-
i think the singing is what the show is about. but if they can play an instrument, they should allow them too. and the competition isnt judged, its voted by phone.
-
if they can play an instruemnt really well and cant really sing..they shouldDEFINATELY not be put through....its a singing competition ....not an instruental competiton....

Yeah, I agree.
But the instrument thing, definately is an interesting addition (Even though Canadian Idol did it first).
But it was just for that time.

i like him....he should sing more vanessa songs!

I just want to give him a big hug!
