Title: Who would you like to see Vanessa tour with?
Post by: nutnlp on March 10, 2008, 11:59:48 am: Ok, I'm honestly suprised that management has not announced any more tour dates as of yet. Especially since we are so close to spring, of course if Vanessa does tour anywhere near summertime it will probably be opening for a head-lining act. Who would you like to see Vanessa tour with? What would make a good tour in your opinion?

note: I did 'search' for a similar thread and could not find one, I didn't go through all 485775 pages so if there already is a thread of this nature I do apologize...I know keeping up with message boards comes as an 'extra job' for the moderators.....I know how that world works....Anyway I thought it would be great to hear what the fans would like to see.

Obviously Stevie and Vanessa were a match made in heaven and I am sooooo thankful to have witnessed that.

I think it would be great to see Vanessa play with Michelle Branch(I know a lot of people like one or the other but I have spoken with Michelle and she is a huge Vanessa supporter), Katy Perry(of course Katy would open) and possibly Josh Groban. I'm not the biggest fan of his music I just think they would make a good pair on a tour.

But whatever Vanessa and management decides I hope for a tour real soon in 2008!

Solid songwriter, excellent singer, mostly piano, some guitar. It would be great to see VC fans' reaction to her.....like mine. She's the real deal, and it would be great to see her get more exposure.

I think they are sooooo many female artists right now either long time coming who are doing well, as well as TONS of up and coming female artists that would make a great match for V! Tons of labels and management companies(like someone said above "someone hot right now") take that idea but match an artist or band up with someone who just totally doesn't work. The Donnas and Maroon 5 toured in 05 is an example, it just didn't work. Rooney with The Jonas Brothers? Rooney with Kelly Clarkson? Um, no! I know it's great to expose different people to different types of music and hope that they grab on to something....but if your looking to gain 'long-time' fans you gotta match up the bill right.

IMO. ;)

Really? That's great, cause last I'd heard Michelle Branch had some sort of beef with Vanessa.

And I think Vanessa should do more shows with Ingrid Michaelson; she's a budding and now well-known indie artist, which could help Vanessa gain some momentum.

i think she should um.. actually tour. like a legit tour. with more than one random tour dates at a time.

hey, maybe that might help her album do better too.. what a novel concept. i don't care who she tours with. but i'd prefer to see her by herself, because if she's not a headliner, what's the point, and if she's not, that means the band she's touring with is probably big enough to have ticket prices be expensive (a la stevie nicks), and if she's the headliner, i don't want to sit through someone i don't know.
