On February 28, Yessian/New York and Yessian’s licensing division, Dragon Licks, together with Universal Music Publishing, hosted Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Vanessa Carlton at the JWT/New York offices.  At the agency’s annual company creative meeting and anniversary gathering, Vanessa performed four original songs for a crowd of more than 350 industry people.

I'm assuming JWT is J. Walter Thompson, so apparently this was a soiree for advertising types.  Not sure about the "music scoring" angle.  That would be nice.  VC would kick ass doing an instrumental score for movies or TV.
