i wonder if vanessa just happened to find a pure bred long haired daschund at her local animal shelter... lol. i mean not that I hold it against her, we  paid a lot of money for our yellow lab, but i'm not a spokesperson for peta. (and my dog also didn't come from a puppy mill or breeder.. just a family who had some lab puppies and ripped people off for them )

My  dog is a purebred Golden Retriever. Although we didn't resuce her, i do agree with the adoption idea, and if I were to get another dog, i would look at Animal Shelters before i purchase one from a family or breeder.

We looked in shelters but my parents were very skeptical about what breed it was and how it got in a shelte, so we bought a dog but im totally all for helping the poor dogs left on the street. I always feel so bad for them :cry:

OMB mine too, my old dog went CRAZY and bit my mom's friend's son, he had to get stitches, and my babysitter got attacked too. it was really sad, she had to go live with a family on a farm.

We looked for years, and went to like 10 shelters, but we were nervous, and decided to get one from a family just in case because my mom was pregnant, i was 7 and my sister was 5 and we couldnt really take chances, and puppies are cute lol.

Well it's a good thing that she is doing this. PETA is kind of good exposure...
but she eats meat. Whatever who am I to judge. haha
