Ok so my best friend and I are going to want to work on a scrapbook project. We are going to go see her on Aug. 8th @ the house of blues and we wanted to have any nessaholics send us pictures and any notes of appreciation to us and we would than make everything nice and pretty in a scrapbook to show her how much her fans care for her. We would give it to her at the concert.
So before we begin the project we want to know how many people would want to send stuff and show their love to Vanessa. We don't want to work on it if we only get like 20 people sending us stuff. We kinda want this to be a big deal. So as many people as we can get, that would be great. So for now just let me know if you are interested. If many are, I will repost details and what not on how to send stuff and the specifics of what we want. My my best Miriam wants to let you's know that its not going to look crappy or anything like that, because she would not allow anything like that to end up in Vanessa's hands.
so let me know who is willing to be included!

well so far we have 13 people that want to be in it including people from here and the official board. I want to stress that you don't have to do anything with the project. Just send us a few things when the time comes, we will let you know. But we want to get more people.

What we are looking to do is make a scrapbook to show off as many of V's fans that we can get. Each page would have a picture of the fan, either just themselves or a picture with V if they have one. We would also add a little message from the fan. Each fan gets their own page and we will combine them all to make a scrapbook type of deal.
You can send stuff to nessaproject@yahoo.com here is the breakdown of stuff you can send.
Pictures: of yourself or with Vanessa 1-2 pictures. The picture(s) can be any picture file extension, is does not matter.
Message: it can be a poem or a little letter/note or song type of thing and it can be whatever you want to tell Vanessa. Make it your own. Write whatever you want. Please don’t make it a really long but it does not have to be super short either. It can be from Word, notepad, wordpad, whatever you have.
Other stuff you can send:
Along with pictures that you can send of you and or you with Vanessa, we also would like if you have scans of any artwork that expresses Vanessa or her music.
When you send stuff just attach the items to the e-mail. Please include your real name and your online user name.
In summary:
Pictures
Artwork
Poems
Songs
Letters
Notes
Favorite lines from her songs
etc.

If you have any suggestions you are welcome to PM me. I will than talk it over to with my friend and if we like it we will post it on the forum. We hope we get more people. The goal of this project is to get all of Vanessa’s fans that we can get into the book. It’s like an encouraging act to show her we are still here for her and just to show how many people enjoy her for being her.
As the time passes will will post pictures of how the project is coming along. So everyone can see it. Oh and if you have suggestions for a title for the book, pm me with that as well. You can also pm me with questions or concerns.

As of right now we have not decided on deadlines but yes the concert is Aug. 8th. So we are looking at having everything about a week before so we can start to get the stuff together.
and another thing, there are usually people that are not registered on the forum that look around. You's are more than welcome to send stuff as well! We want to get as many people as we can.

We have decided that the due date is July 31st. That way we have about a week to put everything together. We have not received much from anyone.
For a quick summary
1. Anyone can do this. Registered users and non registered users, friends and fans and family
2. You must send a picture of yourself, either with or without Vanessa if you have met her or not. Along with a good length note showing your appreciation or whatever you want to say. Of course keep it civil. This note can be just that a note or a poem or song etc.
3. You can also send scans of drawings inspired by Vanessa's music you have drawn. You can also send a favorite lyric.

again, anyone can do this. We want to get as many fans as possible, we want it to be a big deal. If we get a few hundred, great. But we want a lot! :)

I will be posting pictures of the scrapbook itself when we get one. We don't want to get one now and have it be too small or too big once we put it together. So we will wait until we receive stuff from people. Keep sending! =]

And i also had an idea for ppl in the USA to like go around the mall or wherever and take like an Ipod or MP3 or something and a picture of Vanessa....have strangers listen to a clip of any song....and say somethig nice...or comment about her picture....idk...just a thought....dont know if thats safe in the USA though :lol: LOL

hey, can i send in a secod submission? not to replace the first one, but just as... more stuff. :]

so far guys we only have about 12 people who have sent in stuff. we really would like it if we could get more, but if not we will still carry on with the scrapbook. We still have one more day, so hopefully we can get in a lot of stuff tomorrow!

About the scrapbook. I got to my friends house a day later I was supposed to show up Wed. to work on it but had to work so I got there thur. afternoon. We had already printed some stuff out but only like 12 out of the 28 so we were going to go and print the stuff out but her computer messed up (b/c of that huge storm thing in the chicago area on Monday) and so were had no internet. We got the scrapbook done with what we had but we did not want to give her it without everyone that we got in it. So we decided to save it for next time and than that way we can have more people and have it be a bigger scale thing. We have it in a SAFE space hehe no one will touch it and its kinda good because next time when she comes over it will just be better than if we gave it to her now. I hope no one is mad, I kinda was because all the stuff was like against us and stuff but I mean we will get this done and stuff we have plans on just finisihing off with the 28 people so far and than next time a tour comes around to continue and make is pretty sweet. I will post pictures of it so far in a few days. I am REALLY tired, just got back from the show, and I have work the next two days and a friends birthday coming up so don't worries I shall show pictures =] PM me if you have any questions or concerns or if you want more details and stuff =]

Don't have pictures of the show. they were like nazi about cameras but people had their cell phone cameras. But I don't have a cellphone so no pics. I had to pay $5 just so they can put it away or I was not able to go in. oh well.
