I was on Facebook looking at V's page, and I saw a fan posted up this link:

Looks like Vanessa will be at the Jefferson Country Fair on July 10th! (http://www.jeffersoncountyfairpark.com/fair/index.php?schedule=&loc=1), playing at 7pm!! :D

This is super random. She is "opening" for Phil Vassar in the middle of nowhere in Wisconsin. She had to come somewhere in Wisconsin I can't get to, as well. >:(

Initially, I was going to excitedly and wishfully ask if anyone recorded anything. I forgot that Wisconsin is an hour behind (Wisconsin is in the Central time zone, right?). So, I guess I have to patiently wait until tomorrow, or two days from now... or more. =_=

Perhaps all of the people who could have possibly gone already used up all their time and money for the Nashville Pride show? It is a shame though, because i was hopeful that out of the blue someone would post something new

After a quick look on twitter and facebook, she definitely did do the show. Whether any recordings will surface, however, remains to be seen. I don't think anyone from this board got to the show :(

I don't know American geography, but maybe this place was not as easily accessible as the previous show was?

Wisconsin is in the northern Mid-West. It's by Lake Michigan and Lake Superior (and Michigan...the state) - nonetheless, it's out in the middle of nowhere. They make cheese, and that's all I know it for. I'm not sure of anyone that would actually venture out to Wisconsin, except if you live in Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, or Illinois... or Wisconsin. Not to mention, it's at a local fair. I'm not sure if it's a major state fair (I've never heard of it, so it's not nationally acclaimed). So... I wonder what the chances that someone actually got recordings.
Anyway, she looks good... and happy. The guy next to her on the left scares me a little though...

As you know, that show came up last minute. I already had plans to go to San Diego on the 7th for Lilith and another show on the 8th in Sacramento. WI is not high on my list of places to go. Granted, if Nashville didnt happen, we would have been there. I don't know WI geography but even our mod who lives in the state didn't go. I am sure he would have loved to.
It's good that he scares you, it's his job to protect her among other things.
I am sure some YT stuff will pop up.

Jefferson County is seriously in the middle of nowhere. Straight farm country. It's about equal distance from Madison and Milwaukee, albeit slightly closer to Madison. There really aren't any public transit options out that way, or rest assured I'd have been there.
I'm glad the show went off, there were some bad storms in the area Saturday night.

Somebody on Facebook who went to the show told me this:
"She played three new songs* which sounded amazing. She is still recording the new album in London. And it's coming out at the begining of next year. She put on a really great show. She sounded great, played great, and looked great."
*He meant London, Tall Tales and IDWTBAB I guess

She's only just finished the album. I think she's still mixing, too. She has a lot to do to prepare for releasing the album (album art, tracklisting, photoshoots, finding a distributor, etc). And I get the impression she's doing this alone, so it's a thousand times harder.
I bet she'll say this is her most personal record - and I can see why. She's worked her socks off creating this album. A lot of artists just go in & record their vocals. Vanessa is pretty much doing everything - writing it, recording it, producing it, arranging it, mixing it, etc.

Vanessa isn't gonna play half the album in the space of a week or so. She usually plays a few more new ones later/nearer the album release.

Here is my method to rip the audio as an mp3 but it's not the easiest way. I hate all in one softwares, I prefer to have a control on each step:
-Download the .flv YouTube video with keepvid.com (http://www.keepvid.com)
-Open the .flv with AoA Audio Extractor (http://www.aoamedia.com/audioextractor.exe) and convert the audio in mp3. Personally, I prefer to convert it in .wav in order to edit it
-Edit the .wav with Audacity (http://audacity.googlecode.com/files/audacity-win-unicode-1.3.12.exe). Cut the silence start and the ending cheering crowd. Add a nice fade out at the end and increase the volume if necessary. Save as an .mp3 in VBR -0 for the best quality.

the way I do it, one software, I hit a record button. I get same quality as it comes out of my speakers. one time & done. mp3, just as if you were listening to the youtube video without watching it. :P

The .flv is directly the file that YouTube use for its Flash player. So the are two conversion but the first one in wav is lossless. The only loss is the final mp3 with Audacity which let some audio adjustments.

I use dirpy.com for all of my Youtube -> mp3 needs. I think it pretty much retains it's quality, for the most part. Either that or I'm just not too picky (?). For the instrumental music that I have, it all sounds the same.
But anyways, YAY! A video. :D And it sounds nice.

I don't doubt that it's true at all, she's going straight back to London to work on the album. makes sense that she's not going to play any more shows this year.
who knows for sure, but it doesn't surprise me that she isn't.

I think they just meant to say that it was the second of the two shows she had for this year so far. It's still quite early to say she's going to play for just two shows for this year, though she's in the process of recording an album.
And I'm hoping that she'll have a promotional videos and songs for the record.
