unfortunately, i didn't have time to buy it, but i was able to read the tiny little article zooey had on vanessa when i was in barnes & nobles today.
zooey reported that the album would premiere january 2011, that vanessa's been recording in an old mill in the english countryside, that she's worked with peter gabriel, and that steve osborne is either producing or helping her produce it (my memory fails just about here). there was also another mention of the children's choir in abbey road studios. vanessa also said something along the lines of the album being influenced by the "haunted english countryside."

So, does the album "premiere" mean that it's going to be released? Or is she just going to feature and promote it for its release? If it's the latter, then I'm happy she's releasing it on an earlier date. If it's the first, well, I can only be hopeful. :|

I knew she was going to manage to hunt down Steve Osborn. Thanks for sharing. :D

i would guess the spring 2011 release is the more accurate date. the magazine has been out for a while, and i would think the ann taylor information would reflect the most updated answer.

thanks for sharing!!! i´m glad, we will wait a little more, but it´s a great news!! ;D

Hehe if it was to be released in January it would be a pretty nice birthday present if it's released before the very end at least :P

Article from Zooey magazine:
After revealing to the world that she is a proud bi-sexual at an event, Vanessa Carlton made headlines but was noted for her courage. She is now preparing for the last stages of her new album called, “Rabbits on the Run.” She told Zooey Magazine that the album was recorded in the English countryside and also consists of a children’s choir that was recorded in the Abbey Road studio. You can read more in the September issue of Zooey.

That's it?

Wasn't that just from the website?
Did anyone get the actual September Issue that fish_for_stars was talking about?

I got that from the Zooey website, yes.

Oh, and I looked everywhere for this month's issue - couldn't find it. It's not even listed in the Zinio digital magazine download app on my iPhone, so I'm assuming it's not that mainstream...

I looked at the B&N Zooey magazine was suppose to be at in my area and could not find it. Very frustrating.
-
I looked in Borders last night too, they are making this difficult. lol

Still no luck finding this magazine?!
