(edit: not sure why this was moved to the Live Shows section, as we're talking about Vanessa's possible inclusion in studio recordings of an album)
I know a lot of you are all like "who is "Ari" ???????"
well, hopefully this thread can help a little.

I found some cool info,
believe it or not, Ari not only worked on Rabbits on the Run with Vanessa, but also Heroes & Thieves.
Ari, along with his brother Josh were "group vocalists" on the song More Than This.
Ari & his brother, Josh make up the band "The Upwelling" http://theupwelling.com/
Their debut album entitled "An American Stranger" was produced by Stephan Jenkins.
Vanessa is also credited in the album as a "performer" (whatever that means, maybe someone can ask her which songs she performed on???) http://www.answers.com/topic/an-american-stranger
Ari also co-wrote the song "About to Break" from Third Eye Blind's "Ursa Major" album.
I found this all very interesting.
I need to get my hands on that album... especially knowing that Vanessa had some small part in it.
Seriously, this happened in 2009, how did we not know about this?

anyway, you can listen to songs from the album on the band's website.
I can't tell from listening to them which one or ones Vanessa may have helped with,
but if this is any indication of how Ari's backing vocals will sound on Rabbits on the Run (albeit the 2 year difference), I fully approve.
He has a great singing voice :)

Well I know I hear a lot of Stephan, haha, that's for sure. if you check the link above, he is specifically also credited for vocals. just says performer for Vanessa. perhaps she only played a little piano on one song or something? OR ALL THE SONGS?? haha really, we don't know, but I would love to find out!!! this is important!

Does that mean she's not going to tour with Mark Beauchemin anymore? I really liked him...

So, Ari and V had formed this professional relationship because of their connections with Stephan. Well, that's pretty reasonable now.
