Title: List Other Musicians/Bands of whom you're a die-hard fan

It recently occurred to me that many Vanessa fans are also big fans of music across the board.

What other musicians/bands, etc., are you REALLY REALLY into, comparable to how much you dig Vanessa?

Here's mine, some of which eclipse my VC love:

Beatles(ALL-TIME FAVE)
Beach Boys
Rush
Marillion
Kevin Gilbert
Billy Joel
Barenaked Ladies

Those are the big ones, and don't include any jazz or classical or rap/hip-hop/dance/house music or latin.  Doesn't mean I don't like those styles of music; I'm just not a die-hard fan of any of those other artists/bands/whomever.

 :D This is interesting. I never thought my top artists were particularly similar, but they've all already been mentioned in the first page of the thread.

Vanessa is definitely my favorite, but all in a close second (in no particular order) are:
-Eisley
-The Hush Sound
-Meg & Dia

I have one favorite other than V

Akiko Shikata, She has this amazing operatic voice with intense arrangements. This women blows my mind. She does all the vocal tracks for her songs and composes it all!
I recommend her song "Umineko no Naku Koro Ni ~Rengoku~" it is Vanessa's definition of Harmonium.
She's japanese but she sings in English, Italian, Latin, Greek, Turkish, German, Swahili, French, Japanese, Hymnos (which is the made up language for this video game), and a bunch of others.

I've actually seen Brandi Carlile more than V but V is still #1 - I stopped counting at 75 but if I had to guess it's almost 90. No where near Ilovehanson's hanson total.

Others I love and have seen a lot include, Lenka, Sara Bareilles, A Fine Frenzy, AnNa Nalick, and I love, Katie Herzig!!

I'm a fan of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO). I have been to two of their concerts. Rock meets classical. They have LOTS of lazors and pyrotechnics at there shows. Not to mention shredding guitars... and violins... :D They take up the 2nd most space on my iPod, Vanessa takes up the most.  :D

But if I had to choose between Vanessa and them... Vanessa, hands down, for sure, 110%.  ;D

I'm not a die hard fan of these but I like them: U2, The Who, Doves, Mumford&Sons, Coldplay, Bon Jovi.

These are the ones that mean a lot to me, other than V!

Actually, I'm also kind of into musicals a lot. The Book of Mormon and Wicked are my top favorites :D
