praying is the only thing that can help right now!
i know some of you know the history of my brother, or atleast a bit of it. well... he got in a car accident last november and almost lost his life, then a couple months ago he almost overdosed and died, and then we were all in the ER again with him last night. he was found laying on the sidewalk near his appartment. he had a couple pretty bad stab wounds, one in his left lung. we dont know exactly what happened, and he cant tell us. he's ok, but he's been lucky with all this so far and i dont know how long it will last. :cry: all of these things are because of his drug and alchohol abuse... but he's not like a normal addict because he is a high functioning autistic which will make it twice as hard for him too quit since he doesnt have the strength or common sense he needs to do so. please keep him and my family in your prayers... it would mean alot.

ahhh... theres always so much drama with him, its almost like i'm not surprised when it happens anymore! but the fact that he was stabbed by someone came as shock!

Yeah Holly- i hope i can at least help in some way by doing this. Lets just hope that because he has gotten through this before he has the strength to do it again.

i know i posted this months ago... but it's still bad! i just got back from the ER like 15 mins ago. he overdosed again tonight and almost died. luckily he's ok, and still in the hospital. but i saw him and he doesnt look good at all. when i saw him I just started crying and asking him why he does these things and telling him that I love him and I cant handle it, but it was pointless, he's so out of it. this is just SO scary, and i dont see an end to it! :cry:
my parents are saying they dont think he'll make it through the holidays, but i hope he does. he definatly needs a miracle! :cry:

True, this is a prime example of how F'ed up someone can become from drugs. And I hate to say that, but I guess if anything has to come of it hopefully people can learn from it and not make the same mistakes he has.

yeah... i hope people dont do the same thing he is. cause yeah, drugs can make you feel good for awhile... but they can lead to something serious, and some people are like "oh, i'm careful, i dont do them that much". thats how my brother started too.
i know watching him has made me not want to do drugs or drink too much... everyone who's seen him thinks the same way i do.

That's soo sad. I feel for you, I've had a few friends who have really messed themselves up, and they should have known from the begining the outcome would not be good.

Holly, i really really hope that he can get through this. Your family seem to be some of the strongest around! And your mum manages to joke around too- its admirable, really admirable. And just remember that everyone here is thinking of you.

ugh, my brother is so messed up right now, he doesnt even know what is happening and he blames my parents for him being on a 51-50 so he's being REALLY mean to them. I dont even want to go see him right now for that reason.
you know whats weird? i'm almost numb to all this now, its happened SO many times over the last 4-5 years it's like "oh, he's in the hospital again?" he's either in rehab or the hospital, he seriously cant go 2 days without being in one of the 2... its like an endless cycle.
my parents both doubt he'll survive this, and they barely feel he's their son anymore. lately i've felt like an only child too. its like all he cares about is his drugs and whatever gets in his way better watch out! ive been sworn at and even hit for trying to stop him.
i seriously think the only thing that will stop him is if the courts put him in jail. he's 20 and we cant make him stay in rehab. the courts dont think he's a danger to him self. but he's had like 2 DUI's, atleast 5 51-50's, atleast 5 car accidents, atleast 15-20 overdoses that have put him in the ER.... how much will it take before they think he's dangerous. i think theyre waiting till he kills himself or someone else, and thats really scary. the court system is SERIOUSLY messed up!

I'm sorry to hear all that holly. I wish I could help. I know what it is like to have an out of control brother. More people then just my brother. I've seen the career criminal/drug addicts up front and personal. It is a hard thing to change and/or deal with. They really live in a different world it would seem.

you are so strong! and you know what... you are soo going to be bless for all that you've endured with. You have been so much more then a "good sister" . And yes things are tough right now cuz it is a cycle. But faith ... faith the size of a mustard seed can move mountains! Now only if we could give that to your brother..lol.. I'll be praying for the fam, and for you cuz i know it's hard. Accidicts in a way are selfish because they refuse to see effects of their addiction on friends and family....that's why you are soo strong and i totally respect ya babe! So don't stop smiling and if you ever need some encouragement just pm me and or im me and we'll chat or even if ya need to vent i'm all years babe! Have a great holiday holls!
