Post by: tricia on May 17, 2003, 07:53:22 pm: So freaking rad. I saw them last September when they opened for a very cool band called Nero.

The lead singer Robert was the guy who played the romantic lead in The Princess Diaries. His brother is Jason Schwartzmen who's been in some movies and is the drummer for Phantom Planet...another very cool band.

Their new CD comes out on 5/20. Such a rad band...my fave song is "Popstars".

Rosie, he was wandering about outside and my friend REALLY wanted a pic with him but was way too chicken to ask. Since I didn't realize who he was, and there wasn't anyone really around him, I just walked up and was like "Can me and my friend get a pic with you?" He said sure so we posed and took a couple of pics.

Other recommended songs include "Bluside", "Stay Away", "If It Were Up To Me", "I'm Shakin", "Sorry, Sorry".

To me, they have sort of a surfer vibe...so very cool.

Post by: Alecs on June 03, 2003, 09:43:26 am: I think they are great and I'm gonna go see them in Dallas for only $10.50 on June 16th at the Trees venue. Same place I met VC and Michelle Branch. Odds are that I will definately meet Rooney as well :-)

Post by: jlmusicchick on June 04, 2003, 03:54:38 pm: i just got their new album....it rocks! but i'm a little dissapointed they didn't put some of their other demos on like 'Yuki San' 'Turn Away' 'Find Myself' 'ABC's of Love' and 'Flight 22'....i think they would have been awesome to put on the album, they have that sort of same sound as 'Blue Side' and 'Popstars'....oooo well. :)

Popstars has actually gotten alot of tv play with all of the New Years recollection shows. Like VH1's Big in '03 show, they played Popstars on the commercial for it. Whoop whoop!

whoop whoop! they were quite awesome! I've never really watched the show, but the music is really good when I do watch it. I like the theme song, the piano intro is really cool

As a child with divorced parents, i have to say: Joint custody sucks crap face. I couldn't do that to Robert. :-P however, I will take Ned, the drummer, as i am in love and forever amused by his hair :D

yay! i'm glad you like it! i was a little worried because a lot of their earlier stuff is so much better than the songs on their cd. I would recommend:

The closest college that they're coming to is in Niagra Falls, which is hours away, and it's after school, so i doubt I can go.....i'm going to try anyways!

Post by: Manda on April 08, 2004, 10:36:19 am: I was listening to KIIS FM the other day and I think it was JO JO who was giving away tickets for a "Rooney Roadshow" thing, it was really cool, but they did a live song, "I'm Shakin'" on KIIS when I was going to my first game in Pasadena, and they really sucked major ass!

I had to change the station! their cd is really great...but live, eh, I don't know....

I got like two feet away from Joe Firstman and he was buying stuff for fans. I was gonna ask him for a Rooney poster but i thought that was rude....So anyway, to make a long story short their concert rocks and so does their cd.
